Limo/Town Car Transfers question

I have a question about the Town car/ Limo Transfers to your resort..... ours is booked through disney. I had planned on bringing my dd carseat on the plane. But I am really considering just going ahead and buying a Cares buckle for the flight.... We will not be renting a car in disney.... so I really have no use for the carseat once we get there.... just one extra thing to lug around. My question is... before I call Disney... anyone know if you can get carseat rental for the town car/ limo transfers? Or a booster atleast? So I wouln't have to lug this thing along?!

Most towncar limo services do offer carseats but you need to request them in advance.

However - Disney offers Magical Express complimentary tranport via motor coach to all resort guests. Are you sure your airport transfer is a limo/towncar and not a Magical Express coach bus? If so you can't use a carseat on the bus anyway.

Either way if you get the CARES you won't need the carseat.

I would call and find out what your transfer includes - if its ME then you can't use the carseat and if its a car service then you can make the request for a carseat.

thanks for the reply... yes it is Town Car service... My dh won't ride ME... we have in the past... I most definatly am paying for this transfer!
I actually called abit ago and you are absolutly right... I can get them to bring a carseat.. But I have to call 5 days before hand directly to the transfer company... (Stars) and make the request. I talked to them today and they said they don't get disneys actual reservations till a week before... seems kinda crazy...
I am just glad I don't have to lug that Car seat around! I just need to remember to call stars AGAIN 5 days before we leave!!
So thats the final answer incase anyone else was wondering too! Now I need to go order my cares!!

I JUST emailed our Tiffany Towncar and asked them the same question! They said that all of their towncars and limos are equipped with carseats/booster seats! I didn't want to have lug our booster seat just for the ride to the Wilderness Lodge.

Tiffany Towncar is GREAT. They do a complimentary half hour grocery stop and they really aren't all that pricey. You pay once you get to your destination and I believe the price includes gratuity!

I agree that Tiffany is great, we love Tiffany and use them anytime we can't use ME.

Two cautions though:

#1., the prices do not include tip, double check the webiste but right on top it says the prices do not include gratuity. In addition, you will be asked to pay the full amount upon arrival at the resort and then I usually only tip the driver for the one leg. While they try and send the same driver you may get someone different on the second leg so I feel better tipping for each leg. Generally I tip 20% and have always had excellent service.

#2, All the Tiffany Towncars have booster seats in the trunk. They are the low back boosters suitable for older children - like this:

This was a surprise on our frist trip when my youngest was 4 but it worked out ok, not ideal but ok. If you require a traditional carseat with a built in harness system call back and make sure the driver is aware they need a "real" carseat. They do have them but "not in every car" at least not as of April 07.

Just an FYI, Murray Hill Transportation DOES offer both carseats and booster seats at no charge for the first one. Their site is www.transportation2disney.com
