Due to the uncertainty with baggage pick up by DME on late arrivals, I am considering surprisisng my family with a limo. Anyone used a limo recenty? We will be arriving close to midnight so that is a factor. I have seen where some charge extra for late arrivals. I know we will not get a grocery stop arriving that late also. Please elaborate on your good or bad experiences.

I don't know how many in your family, but I would look into the SUV's also. Not only are they cheaper, but they work the later hours for the same rates. There is also limited room in a limo where an SUV can carry a ton of luggage. Probably three times as much as any limo. You can find an SUV for around $100.00 round trip. Limos $200 to $350 for exactly the same service.

Walmart is open 24 hours. There will be some who will stop for groceries for you.

You would be better off financially if you booked an SUV. There are some good companies mentioned on the Disboards.

OP - There are many limo companies out there that will handle 6 people and bags. I've used Lorden Transportation and have been very pleased with him. He's a few bucks more than some others, but his cars are clean, he's always on time and our personalities match. There are few other companies as well. I can not recommend Happy Limo from my personal experience and what I've seen on their web site about you having to meet your driver. That just stinks! FL Tours is a board sponsor. Southern Elegance is another one that gets great reviews among Sunray Transportation.

Edd is a SUV driver which makes it hard for him to be objective. JMHO and I've used him once.

Here are some quality companies with stretch limousines in Orlando, I'm sure you will be very pleased with their service.

GNS
Starline
Carey
Precision

Vagal76 - I was turned off by Happy Limo because according to their website they charge extra for things like late pick up and Mk resorts which applies to us.

I greatly appreciate all the comments. We drive a SUV everyday so I want something special at WDW. I came into an inheritance so we are "splurging" this trip. I will check out those that have been mentioned. I have checked out Fla Tours and they are still on my list. I looked at Southern Elegance and I need to go back and look at them. I don't think I saw a round trip fare for them. I will definitely check out the others.

I've never rented a limo before so I'm on new ground here.

I think most all charge extra for the Magic Kingdom Resorts. When they are going in to drop you off they don't have to pay. But when they come to pick you up, and there are no passengers with them they have to pay to get in.

On Fla Tours, when I put in all the Disney options, they all come up to $200. They are getting my vote right now because their website is easy to negotiate and their rates are right there. I don't have to call. I hate having to call places. We don't have our flight yet going down, still waiting on Southwest to lower their fares for our day.

We just used Happy Limo in Feb. for our Dis cruise. They were great and even upgraded us to port from a reg. stretch limo to a super stretch Excursion limo. It had a 4 screen dvd player. Our driver put on POC2 and was so friendly. :cloud9:
I can't comment on the airport meet & greet issue since we stayed 1 nt. pre cruise at a hotel near MCO. I would use them again. Mousesavers.com has coupons for HL.

That (name censored) company has been banned from this website, most likely because of bad business practice on this site.

Edd, although the OP was asking about limo services, I personally appreciate your suggesting an SUV as an alternative. I was going to hire a limo but really didn't want to have to pay the extra cost of a super stretch. There will be 5 of us and this will be a 3 week long trip which will require us to bring lots of luggage. Thanks again for the suggestion!:)
