Question for Escape (or wishes) brides...
What did you do with your limo if you were staying at the GF for everything? For example, we will be there the AM of the wedding, get married at the WP, then are having lunch at the GF Cafe. Did you use your limo for transporting yourselves around the GF or did you use it for something else? (maybe getting you from the airport?).
I'm just not sure how far of a walk it is from the hotel area of the GF over to the WP as I've only been there once. If I can easily make the walk in heels between the two places, I'll use the limo for some other time!
Thoughts?? :)

I asked my planner a similar question, because they recommended a limo to transport parents/bridal party from the GF to the WP. I asked why because it's so close by, and they did make a good point....1) if there's icky weather, you'll be really glad you had that limo on standby and 2) you/your bridal party might not want to walk that far in a heavy dress and heels.

I'd never considered that practical advice because I was trying to cost-cut, but I've elected to keep the limo for those very reasons. :) It's not a far walk, but it might feel like one in wedding gear! Just something to consider, because I know I didn't until they mentioned it.

Hi, not a GF WP bride but staying at Yatch Club and getting married at the Gazebo so even less of a need for a limo! We are using it to pick us up at our hotel on I-Drive (where we are staying for a week before our two weeks at Disney) take us to the court house and then deliver us to the Yatch Club in style. Also very useful for all of the shopping that I plan to do the week before the wedding :cool1:

After feeling the weight of my DW dress for our VR...I say take the limo! Those dresses are not light at all and the heels....blisters! On a serious note, why not arrive in style on your special day? If there is one day in your life when you should be pampered it's your wedding day.

Everything I have heard says you don't have to use it just on your wedding day - you've got the four hours to use throughout the whole of your wedding stay.

I think we will use it to get us to the courthouse and back to organise our marriage license, then whatever is left over to get us and our guests from either Yacht Club or Boardwalk (tossing up between the two ceremonly locations) to the Contemporary for dinner at the CG that night!

I wanted to walk thinking nice walk and photo op combined! But weather is iffy and im glad we did the minimum limo time and had the option open. I'm glad we did it.

DH and I were in the same position you are in.
We had to use it to transport my mom and MOH to the WP as my dad and I were in the carriage. The other use it got was to thrill the kids as they all got a ride with thier mom's around the property after the ceremony. The driver did a few trips with the kids. All the Dads had to drive the cars back - LOL!
All in all it was a waste of money, but it's part of the package and that was the best way we thought of to use it. We didn't want to make anybody walk as it was the middle of July! And turned out to be pouring rain/thunderstorms.

I'm not sure what we'll be doing either. We're most likely staying at the Boardwalk and having the cermony at SBP. I'm thinking we'll use the limo to get to the DP afterwards but other than that we'll probably have them pick us up and return us to the airport lol. Figure out what else we'll be doing and go from there.

I think we decided to use it on the day of the wedding...especially bc it has to be 4 CONSECUTIVE hours :( it would be great if it was a total of 4 hrs instead but oh well, don't want to chance the weather. I think we're also going to have it pick up our guests from the resorts they are staying at and bring them to the WP!

I am leaving transportation up to my guest. Unfortuantely it just isn't in the budget to get a limo to drive all of them around. Plus, many of them are traveling from out of state and haven't ever been to disney or haven't been there in a long time. I realize that getting married in Jan we risk it being pretty chilly, but since all the guest are northerners, I'm almost positive they'll find our "winter" much more comfortable than theres. We're doing everything at the GF and WP so it isn't a far walk. Myself and flower girl will be riding in the carriage TO the ceremony then hubby and I in the carriage to the reception. If we can swing it last moment we'll add a limo but honestly I just don't know if we can afford it.

We are strictly at a $16,000 and already are sitting close to that.

I'm guessing you are doing a wishes wedding? We're doing an escape and it's included in the "package" to have the limo for 4hrs. If we were doing a Wishes (where the limo wasn't included) we wouldn't be adding on that expense I'm sure. When in January is your wedding? We're 1/28 :)
