luvsTink has a poll by this name, but I am wondering if any of you have had a chance to use both the luxury vans and the limos from a limo service. We have 2 adults and 6 children and I think using a limo to go from MCO to the Port would be a pretty good start for their vacation, but I'm not sure if it is worth the extra $$$ which we could use on more CC towels and Bahama Mamas. Any advice?

In my experience, the number of passengers determined the vehicle we used--we were quoted the same price whether van or "towncar."

I'd go for the cheaper and save the $ for the cruise fun! The vans are DVD equipped for the little people. What you really want is a clean, safe, efficient way to the port.

Thank you, that helps tremendously, kcashner! I wasn't sure what to do to keep the little ones entertained on the way and I knew the limos had DVDs, I wasn't sure about the vans. Thank you for the advice--more souvenirs for us!

CurtS,

We did the limo with 7 of us. It was a neat way to start, but all in all, I'd save the money!! We barely had room to move because we had to put some of the luggage up with us.

This past time, we used Art's Shuttle from the airport to port for $55 for the three of us one way. I believe they add in $10 per person. Now, we were in a regular mini-van (it was very nice) and we filled up the storage space rather well. With them, you might have to get 2 mini's. They probably have bigger vans, but obviously we didn't need them.

CurtS, I just have to say 2 adults with 6 children?!?!?!:earseek: :faint: God Bless you! Traveling must be such an adventure! I am fairly certain that you and DD will be enjoying as much relaxation on the cruise as you can possibly get! :teeth: Have fun:sunny:

From past experiences.....if you take lots of luggage....get the van! We are a group of 4 and sometimes 5....and the luggage will not all fit in the trunk...they had some up front with the driver and had to put some back with us. We got van last year and it ;)

I don't have any past experience with a van or limo....but for our up comming trip we have decided to go for the limo...to kick start our cruise. I don't know what the ages are of the 6 kids your traveling with...but ours..6&11 will just LOVE the limo...I'm sure. IMO...it's the perfect way to start the magical boat ride....

Keep in mind...I didn't even look at what the costs for a van were...So I'm not sure how much $$ diffrence there is. Also...like a previous poster said...luggage can go into the trunk and up in the front with the driver....in a limo
