Has anyone used Limo King from SNA? How was your experience? I've booked them but am having second thoughts. They quoted $45 each way plus tip.

My issue is that they say to call AFTER we get our luggage. I don't want to have to sit there and wait forever for them to come. We get in midday and want to get to DLR ASAP. Plus, every time I email them I feel like I'm dealing with people who don't know anything and they never answer my questions!

I'm thinking of using a taxi instead but am leary about being able to get one ontime for the return trip. Thoughts?

Anyone have a good experience with other limo companies for reasonable rates?

THANKS!

Hi, I have not used the Limo King personally but I have a friend who had a very bad experience with them. I can't remember exactly the details but it involved a very long wait and then the expected limo ended up being a van. They ended up having to pay more than expected too.

We always get a taxi to and from SNA, and we've never had a problem getting a taxi back to the airport on time. We just call down to the front desk or concierge about an hour before we need to leave, and they'll call for a taxi pickup. Trust me, a taxi WILL be there for you on time to take you to the airport.

The cost is about the same though, around $40 plus tip each way.

You have to be careful with limo companies there are alot down there that are not licensed or have let their license expire.

Take a look at this post: Has anyone pre-booked the private vans?

There is also this California Public Utilities website that gives you a list of currently licensed operators.

We had a good experience with the company I hired (DK's Livery). But with limos I don't think you can try to hire them on a budget, they are going to cost more. But I think they are worth it for the amount you pay above and beyond a taxi ride.

We have a reservation with Luken Limousine for our upcoming trip although we are flying into LAX. I haven't found anyone with personal experience with them but they are current with their license and appear to be reputable based on reviews and my dialogue with them over the phone. If there is anything where you get what you pay for, I believe a limo service is definitely one of them.

We booked thru limo king for our upcoming trip in 10 days. We were quoted the $40 each way too. I called earlier this week to confirm everything...come to find out the $40 is for a town car or something similar. A limo is $150 each way. I promptly cancelled and thanked them for wasting my time. We will grab a taxi when we fly in the morning of the 12th. I give up on the limo thing!
