Limited Time Magic Schedule??

Glad to be arriving today to catch Long Liot Friends, but hoping for announcement today for next weeks' LTM!

Rare characters in Town Square at MK, through Sunday.

These characters include the Robin Hood gang, Scrooge and Launchpad, Clarabelle and Horace, and Pinocchio with Gepetto and Jiminy.

I would love this!! I would want to meet Ludwig Von Drake!

I am not sure I understand the new Limited Time Magic. Looks like we get to vote on an art design that will be put on merchandise for us to purchase?

Bleh.

Is what I think about that promotion. Anyone have any pictures from Lost Characters week?

Wow. We and (everyone else in the world who has internet) can provide data for Disney Marketing. I feel so special.l

Well, that is Jan. 25-31. We are Feb. 1-7. At this rate, our "limited time magic" will likely be watching them get ready for the romance week after we leave. Maybe there will be crepe paper on the construction crane??

(Still hoping against hope for surprise and delight)

Yeah i am really disappointed in this one. Takes you all of 2 minutes to vote and that is it. Very off strategy for this whole promo when the objective is to provide magic for guests. This isn't so much a guest experience as it is an exercise in clicking a button.

Would have been better to have the LLF week extended.

You don't even have to be a paying guest to get in on this latest LTM. Makes no sense.

OMG. I've held off on bashing this promotion as too many people are expecting waaay too much from this (Tinkerbell will not be throwing dollar bills as she flies overhead during Wishes, sorry). I keep thinking, 'Surely the smart marketing people at Disney will have wonderful ideas!' I mean, in 5 minutes anyone on the DIS board could come up with 10 cheap and easy ideas, why wouldn't Disney employees be able to do the same? But I guess I give them too much credit.

This one is incredibly weak (and quite frankly, I am not wowed by any of those designs). I mean, if they came bursting out of the gate with 20 weeks of creative ideas and then this came along, fine. But as their 3rd or 4th promotion? Lame-o.

I fully realize that each week is not something that will necessarily appeal to me. Nor is it designed to drive people by the hundreds to the park. But if it doesn't at lease elicit a, "Oh, that's a neat little idea" then I consider them mailing it in.

Very well said.

Well what a disappointment. I voted online and had no idea I was already experiencing some LTM. Wow, I agree this is such a lame thing. I will see LLF tomorrow and then I guess I'll wait and see what I catch on Friday the 1st.

Well said. Our trip starts on Sunday, so this is our "magic."
Well, well, said.

But just think of the extra special memory your family will have! Pushing that mouse button together! (who cares that you don't have to be in the park for it.) And the anticipation of waiting an entire year to buy a t_shirt with one of those AMAZING designs on it!! Thank you Disney! <end sarcastic tone>

I'd say it's better than nothing, but it's not, it's really not

Were do you find the announcements for the limited time magic?

I saw one on Twitter before elsewhere: @WaltDisneyWorld. They've really gotten better at actually being FIRST to release their own Disney news... rather than being "scooped" by the many blogs and websites. :)

Well, 52 weeks in a year. this week is probably one of the slowest weeks. So, it stands to reason that this would be the time to sneak out one of their stinker ideas.

hard to even defend this idea though. if the point of the promotion was to get people excited and curious about what 'special surprise' will be waiting for them during their visit, they failed. They not only let the people down that are visiting this week, but they threw a wet blanket on the few people that WERE excited for this promotion on future trips.

Although I will say, BrewCrew, that you've pointed out a great silver lining - this is pretty much an official Disney announcement that it'll be a fantastically slow week.
So the trade-off for some of the shortest lines of the year is a crummy Limited Time Magic? I guess I can live with that. ;)
