Limited time Magic question

No my question is not "why does this suck so bad"

Isn't it supposed to be something every week?

They just released the terribly exciting dog days of summer that ends on sept 2 and they have the villains event listed now on the blog following that. Does that mean the 3-12 has nothing? We will be there in that time frame.

Not that I'm expecting anything that will even be something I care about on my trip- bein that the majority of offerings of Limited Time Magic have been things called Limited time happenings that no one will pay any attention to on their trip.

Thank you disney for really putting a lot of effort into this years promo.

I mean it could have been something really neat if they took ten minutes to think of actual magical experiences.

Aside from Long Lost friends and the villains there hasn't been much that didn't underwhelm.

Maybe in addition to possibly answering my question disers can offer up their ideas for what would have made Limited Time Magic actually magical? Id love to hear it!

They should have something during that week.

Most of them are announced only a week ahead of time. However, the Villains event was one of the few that was announced much earlier.

Nope, several weeks this year had nothing. The events/merch/food etc is supposed to be added pluses to the park environment, but it doesn't mean there will always be something. This was the great debate at the beginning of the year.

This years promo has been disappointing but when they teased it was about Pluto I was assuming it would at least be going on during his birthday which is September 5(Which is mine too!). Guess I'll track him down anyways and say hi!

I believe you're just supposed to be really thrilled for the people traveling before and after you getting to see something cool. ;) We are traveling in early December and have my expectations set low enough that there is absolutely no chance for disappointment.

They're wasn't something new each week but I thought they did always have something going on.

Like having a 3-week sale on Mouse Ears or 2 weeks of "Limited edition" wake up calls.

Hey, maybe they will bring back the elementary school talent show at DHS. I'm sure that was $90 worth of magic. ;)

Some relatively easy and low budget ideas I had were:

Mix it up week - have some regular characters from one park visit a different park for the week. The princesses meet at MK, some HS regulars at MK, etc. Maybe even have the MK and AK parades switch.

Photo Scavenger hunt - Give guests a laminated card with 30 questions. Figure out the spot, go to it, photopass person there to take your picture and hole punch your ticket. Get more than 10, 15 etc. get a free t shirt. Random person from the tickets with the most punches gets selected for a bigger prize. Your hunt photos would be able to be linked to your other photopass pictures.

Long Lost Friends Week - Character meal edition. Pick a venue to have a character dinner where each night is a different set of long lost friends. Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace. Somewhere in downtown disney to attract more people there.

nope the week before... Clearly syncing it with his birthday required too much thought

. Ah, see there is the problem- I was thinking of my own trip!

The meal would be fun. The scavenger hunt would probably require too much effort ...:confused3 they don't seem to like to go out of their way anymore. Although incorporating it into the games like phineas ans ferb or sorcerers would may be work!
