Limited Time Magic - how do you find out?

We'll be traveling to WDW on a Wednesday, so obviously we'll know what the Limited Time Magic is for the week we arrive. But on Friday the next week's Magic will be announced. If we are not traveling with an internet-connected device like a smart phone, how do we find out what it is? Are they posting the information in the resort lobbies? At the parks? At ALL the parks, or just the one where the Magic is occuring?

If it's posted at the resorts, what about CBR, where the 'lobby' is in a separate building that you only go to for check-in and check-out?

LTM does not have a formal announcement protocol.

You might try calling (407) WDW-INFO from any phone,
press the button for the operator, and ask your question.

Otherwise, call someone back home and have them look on the web for you.

Thanks for the response - but that's really dumb. It's bad enough that it's "Limited" Time Magic; why does it also have to be "Secret" Time Magic? I get it that Disney is not announcing the Magics in advance, so that it really is just for the people who are already there. But it doesn't seen like much of a promotion when they don't actively promote it to the supposed audience, or even go out of their way at all to let you know it exists.

Anyhow, I'll try calling the Disney info line while we're there.

Yup.

Some "events" are known farther in advance than others, however.

Case in point, the "Villains event" on Friday the 13th (Sept, 2013)
has been known for several weeks.

They might be more forthcoming if they actually knew what it was going to be, but I am convinced that they do not have them all planned out. With the exception of a few weeks that they had a good idea for, I think they're winging it.

I would think if they post it atnthe resort, CBR would have something in Old Port Royale...where the food court is.

We were at the parks for the last day of "Forgotten Friends" week. On Monday I asked around and tried to figure out what the LTM for the week was. Half of the staff didn't know about the promotion itself, much less what the event for the week was. From Mon-Thurs, there was no LTM. Then on Friday there was a parade and they declared it "football week."

Most LTM's are really boring, unnoticeable to the park's normal activities. You won't see them posted anywhere in the hotel, at the resorts (we were at the Poly, we saw nothing posted anywhere and I'm going to say if there's nothing listed at the Deluxe resorts, there will be nothing posted at a Moderate), at the gate, or really have CM's that are aware.

Honestly, not to be a downer, but I'm going to say that the window you're traveling will have nothing significant that you'd even notice, so if you knew what it was or wasn't would mean not that much. I'd go about your day as if it's a normal, promotionless day at WDW.

This I can believe - but even if they don't decide until Thursday night what the next week's LTM promotion is going to be, they do decide on something because it's posted on Disney's web site Friday morning. How hard would it be to print off the web site onto a posterboard and put it up in the resort lobby?

Which is even more reason why I'd like to know while I'm there what that week's LTM promo is - because it might really only take place on one or two days. It is quite possible that it is something (like a football-themed parade) that I'd have no interest in, but I'd like to at least have the chance to make that decision for myself. I don't need to know about it weeks in advance; I'd just like the opportunity to know about it on the week or at least the DAY that it's happening! The promo might be some simple little thing that I would absolutely love: not any big extravaganza, just some simple little extra Pixie Dust. And who doesn't love Pixie Dust?
