Limited Time Magic-April

Perlster, great photos! Were you able to see them all in one day, and what was the schedule/crowds like? Also, do they do autographs? We're trying to figure out if we should go on the 12th and 14th or if we can get away with going just on the 14th.

Also, were Meeko, Clopin, Frollo, and the Robin Hood group there?

No autographs for these meet and greets. They're doing cards like the True Love Week princess/prince meet and greets. And there are 5 stations, groups switch out every 30 minutes.

What are "cards"...? Are they pre-printed with an autograph or something? Were there big lines/long waits? Were these pictured characters switching out with each other...or do you mean that there may have been additional characters not pictured here? Finally.....I know someone posted this previously but where are they doing the Meet & Greet?
So sorry, Im just trying to figure this into my touring, Im so excited to be able to go this weekend but realize there will be large crowds. Im a WDW vet but have only limited DL experience ( but soo LOVE it!).

TIA :) :) :)

There are ten groups and five backdrops, so as they switch every half hour or so, each group generally appears once an hour. However, at some times, there were only four groups out. Lines are in the form of switchbacks, with yellow tape on the ground. They were usually longer for groups with face characters. There is a chance that you can line up when one group is present, but they have switched out for others by the time you reach the front of the line. For the most popular groups, like the 3 Good Fairies, some people would get in the line before they were there and let others pass them until the group showed up.

Well, not sure how this will work but I wouldn't be too concerned about the area school pass holders being there, and here's why... Unless most people in Southern California purchase Deluxe tickets, which I doubt, they will have to purchase a day pass just to get in the park on this day. I just don't see that happening. I'm sure it will be packed but I don't think (and hope) that it will be the Southern Cali pass holders.

This year will be interesting because Disney cut the discounts for residents. I hope it's not crowded at all.

Hmm, one post ~ I'd love to hear how their visit went. With monthly payment plans available to anyone living in CA I imagine most AP holders go with the passes with no or very few blocked days.

OMG, perlster thank you so much for posting photos! I was going to skip this but I LOVE Mulan and it would be awesome to pose with Warrior Mulan! I've got this on my must-do list now!

This all just makes me amazingly sad. I would have planned a separate half-way across the country trip just to do this. But with only a few days notice, it's just not possible. Maybe in December they'll have some leftover cozy cone hats for me though. A girl can dream, right?

You're welcome. Warrior Mulan is perhaps unique among Disney face characters - she clearly does not wear a wig.

If you visit her, be sure to get the autograph card - Mushu's signature is special.

Glad to see this thread took a turn for the better! :thumbsup2

I was mostly meh about missing this until I saw Lilo and Stitch. DD is a bit obsessed with that movie. Too bad! I'll just have to make sure to find them while we ride It's a Small World :)

Stitch was at the Surf's Up breakfast at PPH on our last trip. I think he's a regular there. My kids flipped over him. He was a blast. If your daughter is obsessed, I'd look into it on your next trip and see if he's going to be there.

I'm SO SO SO thankful that Long Lost Friends Week is happening right now! :dance3: I planned this birthweek trip back in January, just for my best friend and I for fun ! But now it's even better that LLFW is happening! I arrive Friday morning, but our time at the parks starts Saturday! So I'm happy I'll be able to have a few days/opportunities to meet the LLF characters! I'm praying for Peter to be there lots! :o He's my FAVOURITE! :bitelip:

Yes, Stitch is reliably found at the Surf's Up! Breakfast and the Disney Visa private meet and greet.

I like that Mulan is wearing Toms.

LOL! Actually those are traditional Chinese cloth shoes. I laugh as toms are seen as preppy here but that type of cloth shoes were usually worn by those who couldn't afford leather shoes.

We are coming in on the 14 and plan to try for some of the pictures. Any updates/rumors about the following week 15-19? Thx

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. This is her first time ever coming up, and she has never seen a character in person (she's only 3) so I may consider it for our next trip if she doesn't totally lose her marbles! lol

Went yesterday afternoon and had a good time. They change out the characters in groups of five (Total of 10) about every 30 minutes. For the popular characters you might have to get in the line before they even get there. There were plenty of CM there who would tell you who was coming out next and which line they would be in. During the change out they do a little parade out and introduction it was very cool. DD loved it.

I can no longer find the post, but at some point I found this information -
"Disneyland did this a couple of years ago and it was blast. In addition to the characters that won the online survey that year, many more showed up as well. Once you go inside The Festival Arena, you won’t want to leave. The best part is at the end of the day. All the characters come out for a group photo. So make a point not to miss that. It’s a rare photo opportunity, that’s for sure."

Has anyone been there at the end of the day? Just wondering if this has been happening. Thank you!!
