Hi all, I'm trying to get information on what a pin like this might be worth. It's listed at pinpics with a LE run of 2000, but I doubt that number and think it is really less than that. http://gallery.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/group.cgi?group=6272&pin=97580

I'd be surprised if the number of actual pieces was over 1500, since 1. that department is notoriously cheap 2. a COA from a distribution in 2010 stated cast limited edition run of 1300

and 3. see number 1. If anything, cast count went down from 2010, not up.

Everything I come across with pin trading seems to be "whatever the collector is willing to pay", or "whatever the trader is willing to let go of it for". There's got to be some sort of scale somewhere that sets estimated value.

Thanks in advance.

I see these frequenty on eBay selling for anywhere from 20 to 40 dollars on average.

I keep a close eye on ebay and have not seen this one come up. Those are mostly fakes, or a DLR version which was not limited edition. This one is a genuine CM limited edition that is very different from the others. It specifies WDW at the top, 1971 for the badge number, is stamped with ears all over the back, and etched with a serial number.

Back in the day (before the market was saturated with pins), you might have gotten a nice price for it. Now not so much. JMHO
