There have been a lot of threads on lime green tags but I never paid attention because I thought you can only get them in the US.

Well lo and behold I went to Home Depot here in Canada and was excited to find them. Now...what are you supposed to do with them?

From what I've read, most people just pin them to their backpacks, etc. Some write their usernames on them.

Well, here's what I did with mine.
I got a bunch of them from Home Depot. ( alien green ) I cut the excess card off very carefully, leaving only the Mickey heads.
I glued 2 Mickey heads together, so the front and back look identical.
I took a paper hole puncher and put a hole between the ears. Then I had some lime green ribbon and put the ribbon through the hole.

I hung these from a zipper on my fanny pack, from the zipper on my sweatshirt, and one was dangling from my Guest of Honor badge.

Hi Claudia...

I noticed Claudia's Mickey Heads at Epcot last year...

I did the same thing but laminated the whole thing and put my DIS boards name on it too...

Claudia, are you going back to WDW this December? I might see you again...::yes::

I did the Home Depot Alien green Mickey heads also on our recent trip. Believe it or not, I didn't see ANY other lime green Mickeys at any of the parks!!! ::yes::

Does anyone have a picture of one of these tags?

Hi Samantha !
Yes I remember meeting you both at Epcot.

I'm going to be at WDW beginning December 3rd. It will be 3 nights at POR, then 3 nights at BWV.
It's another solo trip !

It is so exciting to meet other
DIS'ers in the parks.

EVERYBODY .... be sure to wear your lime green ribbons and/or
Mickey heads.

This is what I did with mine. I bought what is called a fun button (the large one) at a craft store. It pops open to put your picture into and also has a pin on the back. I cut a circle out of construction paper for the backing, cut out the mickey head, pasted it onto the construction paper and decorated it with stickers and stick on letters.

Claudia...We get there on the 3rd till the 17th...I'll keep my eyes open for your Mickey heads...Hope to see you again.

I also wore mine on my last visit (2003) and did not see anyone else wearing them. I will be traveling to WDW on Dec. 3-8 and plan to display mine again on my fanny pack. Hopefully I'll see other DIS- Board members.

We'll be there also in early December. I need to remember to check Home Depot for the Alien Green Mickey heads. In the past I've put lime green ribbon on the stroller, backpack, and my fanny pack and have seen maybe one DISer on each trip. I like the button--maybe I'll make them up for my son and me.

I took two of the cards, decorated them with Disney stickers around the Mickey heads and put my pin trading logo in the middle on some of them. I glued them together so that the cards were double sided. I had them laminated at Kinkos. I then punched holes in them and hung them from Zipper pulls on all of our backpacks, the video camera bag, and soft luggage bags. They worked well dangling from my pin trading lanyard too.

I ran into a few Dis'ers at Pop Century back in December that also had the lime green on display. Now, I just can't wait for December of 2005! Maggie

Got my pin and laminated some luggage/lanyard tags.
Thanks so much for the great idea Buzzlady!
