Lime Green Ribbons, have you worn them or spotted them?

when i went last thanksgiving i wore a green mickey head and no one said anything to me. i was disappointed. i wanted to meet some fellow DISers.

DH and I wore lime green mickey heads with lime green curling ribbons coming off of them on our backpacks last year and no one said anything to me nor did i see any other lime greens. hmmmmmm well maybe i'll see some this year!

We ran into some DIS folks on the bus to MGM, I believe. The man of the family had on a Texas Longhorns hat and a DIS shirt--we figured he'd be as friendly as we were. . .wrong assumption. We tried to have a conversation and were summarily ignored. . .that's tough to do for those who have met my very congenial, outgoing, and friendly husband!

On the other hand, I've had occasion to meet some other very nice DISers over the years--none, however, were wearin' o' the green. Primarily it's been others who have recognized me and my family from my siggie pix! It's always a treat to put a face to a screen name! Looking forward to meeting a few more great folks during WebmasterPenny's events in June!

OK this year you will be spotted. I will try to find some ribbon for our diaper bag and will put that lime green mickey chip on my stroller. With the tips you/ve shared with us and that we'll be at the GF at the same time- I am sure we will see each other someplace(Probably monorail) With all the kiddos we should be hard to miss. ds(11) dd(7) ds(2) ds(5mths)
LOL because I just saw you are from NJ- us too! Are you flying or driving? We are driving this time because of the little one. But I hear that they are adding a direct flight from the Allentown PA airport again. That was always our favorite way to go in the past.

We're flying. We were going to try driving last summer but chickened out. Let me know how you make out because we might be driving down in January. DH is running the marathon for the first time and two trips so close might force us to drive. Our little ones are 7, 6 and 4 so you'll probably see us at the pool. Is your dd going to do the Wonderland Tea Party or Pirate Cruise? My kids really enjoyed them and are probably going to do it again this time.

I've worn lime green ribbon, lime green Mickey heads all over my backpack, lanyard, and luggage for several years now, probably at least six trips. Know how many DISers I've met because of it? One! (+ a few others I'd already planned on meeting-the lime green was just a way to identify each other-we'd already planned to meet). Before this last trip, there was a long list on the DIS board of all the DISers that would be there, so I prominently displayed my lime green, sure I'd meet someone this time. No one! Needless to say, I'm pretty discouraged about it right now.

During out trip this past October, we were visiting the WL, and I saw a man and a woman walking with lime green DIS shirts on. Unfortunately, I did not pass them directly, and we were on the way somewhere with out kids, so I did not seek them out to say hi. They are the only ones I've ever seen, though.

I made myself a nametag from a Home Depot paint chip, but kept leaving it in the room after our rest breaks each day. It did start a lot of conversations with CM's and one lady who said she lurked here, but otherwise I had no luck with it.

Well I don't know what I am going to make to make myself be noticed by DISers. But to anyone who's going to be there next week (6-12) I am in a Quickie dark green wheelchair, most likely being pushed by my sweet hubby who packed almost ALL Disney t-shirts.
