Lime Green Mickey Heads!

I just liberated my first stack of LGMH yesterday at my wonderful Home Depot!!

My DH agreed to be an accomplice as he was the one with pockets!!

I got some about a month ago at the Home Depot closer to my house. It wasn't that many left so I was only able to get 5. Went to another HD yesterday and they had a whole lot of them. I took about 20 of them and left 5 or 6. My DS13 thinks I am

What is the significiant of the lime green Mickey? Our HD has them stocked all the time... Should I be collecting them?

People staying on-site use the LGMHs to decorate their resort room windows (search "decorate windows" and you should find threads with pics)... if there is any other significance to these, I am not sure.

Ok, I got my LGMH's tonight, some for me and some for my neighbor.
That lucky duck gets to go in October AND December.

BUT, the 2 colors were VERY close, I took the ones that were alien something.. thats the correct lime, right?

You can also attach them to something you're wearing while at the parks to identify yourself as a DISboard member. We'll be wearing ours in 25 days!

I have also liberated a number of MH in a variety of colors!

For my upcoming trip I made some MH's with my username on them. I am going to hang them from DS stroller brim, my DH thinks I am crazy, Oh well.

Confused here - does the Home Depot store actually sell the lime green mickey heads or is it something you buy & cut them out of? I might have missed something on earlier posts, but since we're going in September & staying @ Pop I thought I might just try & do something like everyone else on my window there. We're only there a short time, but.............

Neither! They are paint samples There are a rainbow of bright Mickey colours but you're after the alien green ones

Well our HD has changed the paint samples. They are no longer Mickey shaped but instead are square with a tiny MH in the corner.

Sooo, I went to WalMart and bought a whole package of lime green paper, and I made my own! I made some as nametags for our GLOW! POP meet, and I made some to wear everyday out in the parks. I also made big limegreen ones for our window that have our usernames on them.


NOTE: The pictures were taken with a crappy camera phone, and they're are actually bright and colorful. [I didn't feel like pulling the Digital camera out]

I also have a few sets of my LGMHs. I was only able to get 6 of the Alien, but a few more of the next shade up so hopefully that will work as well. Now I just have to figure out how to laminate them myself... Is there any method that's better than another? Especially with me having so few to work with... Any input is very much appreciated!

We got some self-laminating sheets. Haven't tried them out yet but I'll tell you how the work when I do laminate.

Cutting out LGMH from green construction paper and then laminating them.
Hope the Mickey circles don't look misshapen.

I've been known to use clear contact paper used to line shelves in a crunch to laminate something. It's cheap and relatively easy. I believe my local Office Depot and Staples also laminate items.

Hmm...it takes a really long time. Today we went to Home Depot and picked up LGMH and cut them along the sides. SO much easier! I must've taken at least...70, the stack was huge! And I picked up some black ones too.

I'm making them out of construction paper Pirate Me. I printed out a picture of Mickey, and am using that as a guide for my heads.
