NEW plan of attack! lol Look it over and let me know what you all think.
I originally had an ADR at Tusker's but there was too much going on in the mornings at GKTW that a we wanted to do so I tried to make a lunch ADR but there are no characters at lunch and dinner so Tusker's is out for this trip.

your schedule plan looks very similar to ours....which I have a feeling will probably get thrown out the window when we get there. But I am a planner and have to try to have some type of game plan at all times, unfortunately DH and 2 DD did not inherit this trait

Yep, yep! I like to call this more of a guide than a plan. I think that way I will not become a beast if we get away from our guide. That's my story and I am sticking to it!

Ok so I decided I am going to make t-shirts for all of us for the trip. I want to surprise the family with them (which lemme tell you has been a task in itself! DH walked in on me twice and almost busted me working on the designs! lol). So I am going to do iron-on transfers. Graphics I can do, anything beyond that (sewing, embroidery, etc) I cannot so I figure this is the safest way to go! As soon as I get the designs finished I'll post them. Gotta do a little fixing up here and there.

Does anyone have any experience with using the iron-on transfers? Do you have any tips you can share?

I need to get these right the first time as money is rather tight right now and if I mess them up, that will be that (but hey no pressure! lol).

Anyone? Anyone? Please?

Actually any printer will work, you just ahve to buy the right kind of paper.... it's transfer paper. Most office stores should have it! The only problem I have with transfer paper, is that after a few washes it doesn't look good. So you have to be gentle with them.... but they'll look great for the trip!

In the DISign portion of the board there are a bunch of people who do designs when requested for people of this board. These groovy folks also have photobucket accounts, etc that are linked from there sigs. In their photobucket accounts they have a bunch of clipart, etc that people are allowed to take and use to make their own graphics for shirts, etc, etc. So that is where I got everything.

I have heard that turning them inside out to dry, or just not putting them in the dryer will prolong the life of the transfer. Not sure how true this is as I have never done these before.

Amy Mickey has the BEST transfers you can buy. I have been using her transfers the past few years to make all of our shirts. We have washed them several times and they still look great! Her transfers cost more than those cheap ones at most stores, but I feel you really get what you pay for with hers. You can find them here.

I love the shirts! I've done the iron on's before... the only suggestion I have is to just make sure you use the right ones for the right color shirts. I've bought the ones meant for white shirts by accident and they look terrible on anything but white!
