Lilo and Stitch or Ariel's Grotto

Any opinions on which has the better food?

I have not done either, but they both seem to get rave reviews. Lilo and Stitch, of course, is only breakfast - but you can have the buffet or order from the menu. Ariel's has a character meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the lunch and dinner items being menu orders and the breakfast served family style.

We LOVE the new lunch/ dinner menu at Ariel's. Possibly the best in all of DLR. DD had more fun though at Lilo and Stitch breakfast. They had hula lessons and follow the leader around the restaraunt. You can order al a carte at Lilo's and it is a very good deal. DH and DMIL ordered from the menu while DD and I did the buffet. I really liked the variety of choices at their buffet. Chicken flautas and pineapple coconut scones- yum!!

We are just the opposite and didn't like the menu at AG. They make you buy something to eat no matter what. I ordered something that my husband ate since there was nothing I liked even on the kids menu. He didn't like either of his dishes. I would of been happier going to goofys kitchen. I have not been to Lilo and Stich. I did like my blue martini at AG's though, too bad I coundn't just order drinks in the equivilent amount as an antree!!!

I love Ariels because they make the best food for my gluten and soy free diet. Not tried the other one but Ariel's has a good variety of foods and I recommend it.

Note: WDW and DLR character meals and buffets are all pay by age. Disney assumes you are paying extra for the characters and that if you were at home you would have to pay for the buffet by age there. Disney and other companies cannot sit there and monitor diners so there is no way they can do it but by age.

It is a common complaint of parents about how the kid eats 4 nuggets and pays a lot of money. That is how all the places are and not fair but what is Disney to do.

Look at the Ariel's menu and then decide if you want to eat at a buffet or sit down to dinner with family and be served lots of yummy food without having to get up all the time.

Ah, gee... don't make me choose... loved them both. Food was great at both (breakfast only at Lilo's, we did dinner at AG).... character interaction was wonderful at both (we met Lilo, Stitch, Minnie, Daisy & Goofy at breakfast, and Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora and of course Ariel at dinner.)

Loved the food at both... AG was one of the tastiest meals we had at the park--really got full there. Loved the smoothie at Lilo's, it was yummy and refreshing...

Can't pick, but I hope I helped you decide!

Yikes...I think sound will need to flip a coin! They both have good points :confused3:confused3

Or squeeze in both! :confused3

Seriously though if your girls are wanting Lilo and Stitch I'd do that one. It does sound really fun to me, and if they aren't into princesses I think the princess one might seem too young to them maybe? I know 8 and 9 isn't old for this sort of thing at all, but it might be in their eyes. I've never been to either, so was just going on the basis of you saying your girls wanted L&S.
