Hi there! Everything looks great so far! I got engaged at Shades of Green in July. I'm excited to follow your journal. We are currently surviving our second deployment...my fiance is in the Navy.

On the verge of losing it on someone. WHY THE HELL do people think they can just question us left and right over why we want to do this....or tell us we shouldnt....ITS NOT THEIR MONEY AND WE ARENT ASKING THEM TO COME. Geeeze louise. I put as my FB status that its 166days to go. Someone goes "You havent been married long enough to do that." I got married in 2003 and it will be 2012.....most marriages from 2003 were over by 2005 in the military circle. We are on our 5th deployment since 2003. We have spent over half our married life apart...and yet WE ARE STILL MARRIED. My husband and I have had one hell of a year this year and none of it consisted of fighting w/ the other....just individually crazy things where we are in the world. I have a feeling something happened to him overseas (I dont ask) and that is why he proposed again. Right after the proposal stuff started pouring in for our kids from him...It was his way of showing them that he was thinking of them even from across the world. We have known each other 15years....15. I love that man more and more each day. Its not like we are taking something away from anyone by doing this. I dont understand how people can be so rude.

Sorry I just am like.....REALLY HOW IS THIS AFFECTING THEM

Shades of Green just canceled on me. I called yesterday to make the deposit and the lady told me they couldnt do it over the phone, but assured me that the spot was mine....today they said someone called and paid on it and took the EXACT TIME I wanted. I'm sooooooo not happy right now. I'm in tears...idk what to do. Looks like fate just doesnt want this to happen.

Okay YAY...after talking w/ SOG (and a tear filled convo w/ my friend/ta and one to my husband) they are going to work w/ us on getting the VR done....we just have to move back 1/2hr. I can deal w/ that.

SOOOOO, Now to fax in the paperwork w/ the initials and everything and we will be good.

My husband goes "Okay you are turning into bridezilla already. I know you didnt get to make plans the first time at all, and this is really important to you, but baby you have to calm down. Dont bite heads off yet." That is what made me calm down and then the hotel called 5min later w/ it fixed. YAY. I can only imagine how I will be the next 3months till he gets here to stay. I need someone to keep me grounded and tell me that I'm going nuts here and there.

I don't think you are being bridezilla. Lol you should hear some of the conversations I had with the LEAD of DFTW about the construction and how I was going to complain to their manager (who's number I got from a previous employee of DFTW).

You just want everything to work and happen.. I am the same way. It's a crazy rollercoaster. I still have ups and downs because as of right now Chris wont have leave during the first two weeks of Jan (which means no wedding or honeymoon[which is already paid for]). We're still waiting for his special leave request to go through.

Hang in there girl. You can do it!

I have and I'm soooooo cheating. Easter is just b4 we leave so, I'm going to get them a cute suit around Easter that will be black and blue (hopefully close to the same blue as the invites). DH isnt sure he wants to wear his uniform yet (though I'm begging as I think he is dead sexy in it), so if he goes less formal than that I might get them a cute pair of slacks and a nice polo shirt. BUT, they are growing so fast this year I dont want to buy anything yet. I bought size 7 shoes for my youngest at Easter (and they were too big) and now he is in a size 11....7months later. SO, yeah deff more of a month b4 thing for them. Our PX always has suits here (and we have a suit shop in the PX), so I know they will have something (and if they dont they have assured me it will only take a week to get in).

So, DH and I talked today about champagne flutes. We arent going to reuse our original ones (he hated them), so I have been looking for new ones. I saw these ones on Etsy that were blue and had silver mickeys etched into them. I asked him bout them. He told me no. I asked him why (because he is usually ok w/ stuff like that) and he goes "Because I think they are cheap. I want to get us something nice, that we could display at our house and show off. I want to get some champagne flutes from Arrabas (sp) brothers in DTD the first night we are there." I was like "Aren't they expensive?" He goes "You have to be the only bride would would complain about their groom wanting to get them something nice for the ceremony." LOL. They arent super expensive, and he says its the one thing he wants to splurge on at DTD, so I will give him that.

I've been slowly getting together our Welcome Bags. I ordered some Vinylmation soaps off Etsy that will be blue and blueberry scented. I'm going to be getting some cute bride and groom cake pops too from there. I plan on printing out our iteneraries b4 going too. My MIL, SIL, FIL, and Nephew were planning on going w/ us b4 DH asked me to renew our vows, so they are already more than aware of what we will be doing and are cool w/ our dining choices (we are even giving MIL and FIL a dinner alone the last night they are there). Most stuff though they will be getting b4 they get there as its my Nephew's christmas gifts.

I am working on getting welcome bags together. I was invited to attend a bridal show as a vendor this weekend, but I'm thinking of going w/ the 2 free tickets they sent me as a bride instead. I usually would be all about setting up but its friday and the show is sunday and they JUST TOLD ME TODAY!!!! I am tooooooo excited though. Going to try to see if I could get someone to watch my boys so I could go. I know I dont need vendors here, but it wouldnt hurt to see what Bridal shops are there so I can get appointments set up w/ them for a dress. I am just too happy today!!!

Tomorrow is my 31 party here at the house, so i'm going to be pricing some cute bags to use for the welcome bags!!!! Shh and dont tell DH..but getting me a new suitcase too (mine is old and coming apart).

Back then, it was only $125 to rent the gazebo, and then we decorated it ourselves the night before. What I really liked about getting married there, is they didn't dictate what time we had to get married. We wanted a sunrise wedding, and we got it!! Afterwards, we went to the Grand Floridian and had a small breakfast reception where I had ordered a special wedding cake for us (the cake cost more than our wedding venue!!)

And yes, you are STILL a Disney Bride!!

Thanks. DH and I are excited. We are both ready for this. He is planning small things from over in Afg. and I'm doing the bigger things here. My biggest hang up right now is my dress. I dont want to go dress shopping. I lost a lot of weight this year (Went from a size 18 to a size 12....203 to 170) and I'm afraid if I go shopping for a dress it wont fit in April (and not in the good way of needing to take it in). I fear slipping backwards. He isnt set to come home but about 2months give or take 3wks b4 the trip, so I will have time to keep loosing, but I am still scared that I will gain all the weight back. Not to mention I have never been wedding dress shopping b4. I went ball gown shopping, but never wedding dress shopping...so I dont know what to expect. I want to go this month since we are like 160 days out, but finding a sitter is getting hard for my 2. Thinking of just giving in and going thursday after the gym (yes I will shower first). Nervous though.

Congratulations on you upcoming VR!! My gorgeous hubby and I had our VR at the Swan in May and had the most perfect day!! I loved every minute of the planning and I am sure you will too!!! Just enjoy it!!

The t-shirts and autograph books are great - do I spy some input from the girls over on the 'Creative DISigns' board, or are you the talented one? I have a dabble over on the 'DISigns' board myself!!

The 1st dress I tried on today that I could get on (well, the only dress that I liked that they had I could fit in)

I like this dress a lot, and I felt very pretty in it, but I'm not sure its THE ONE. Plus the cost is a bit up there for a vow renewal gown, so I think I'm going to hold off on it, but I do like it so if I dont find something else this weekend I'm going to buy it.

Don't look at it as a VR dress. You didn't get to pick your first dress. Make this the ultimate dress! I mean obviously don't go WAY over what you can afford, but don't settle just because it's a VR. I settled for a dress because it was only $600. 7 months later I hated it and fell in love with a Disney dress. Bought that one for 1250. Now 1250 was more than I wanted to spend, especially after already buying a dress half that price, but I figure it's my chance to wear a beautiful gown I love (which I didn't the first time around[I was in jeans and a white top with black vest]).
