We are going to be staying at the Liki Tiki Village in Kissimmee December4-10. I am wondering if anyone has stayed there before. What it is like. What restaurants and grocery stores are good for a family of 6 with 4 little girls. Does anyone know how long it will take to commute to WDW? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!

the reviews weren't bad at all

how far - depends upon where you are going - maybe 10 minutes from AKL - 15 to 20 minutes from Studios, 20 to 25 minutes from Epcot, 30 minutes from MK.

with all the theme parks - this is just basically going to it - it might be a few minute less or more depending traffic - especially traffic entering the park.

oh if you can try to get a room away from where the sales staff is showing new prosceptive members the resort - this causes a lot of traffic.

the most complaints were about the front desk staff - they were not very friendly,.....

I've never stayed there, but my parents were there last year and did not like it. The service was not good and they were not impressed with the rooms. Overall, they were very disappointed.

Hi there. I was just at Liki Tiki in February of this year. My husband and myself loved it! We stayed in the newer bulding, 600 I think, and it was beautiful. A nice kitchen, washer and dryer, and televisions in both the bedroom and living room. It had a cute kiddie pool and several regular pools and spas on the property. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is kind of on the end of 192 I believe(I didn't drive). There was a chik-fil-a, golden corral and a bunch of other restaurants a few minutes up. As far as WDW goes, it took us about 20 minutes in traffic to get to the entrance. Hope this helps.

my SIL and her family stay there. i believe they stay in the newer section also, they bought into time share a few years back. the kids like the pool, its a short drive to the parks she said. my other sil and family do Vistan for their time share........ like i said , she says everything was clean, decent, they enjoy the pool, they have never had a problem...................

the only big complaints were against the front desk staff - they weren't very friendly nor helpful.

We stayed there in august. WHile the front desk staff was not friendly at 1st, if you keep smiling, they loosen up (I know you shouldn't have to soften them up, but oh well). The rooms were great (be sure to get a room in the new towers) We had 2 one bedrooms & 1 two bedroom. HUGE jaccuzi in the 2 bedroom master bedroom. Huge rooms. Clean. Easy access to WDW. There were some people who stayed there that bordered on "unsavory", but no problems at all.

I would stay there again. There were 12 people ranging in age from 3 years old to 60 years old. Kids liked the pool the 1 day they went. I read some terrible reviews on these boards, but I saw none of what they saw.

Stayed there a year ago in the older section. IT was disgusting! Check the search feature for the comments made by myself and others. The worst part was that when I wrote a letter they were not at all responsive.

Just went on Trip Advisor and there were some wonderful reviews.

I am Staying at Parkway International which is owned by the same company. Can't wait.

4 days and counting to MNSSHP.
