First of all-- You are double jinxed, pal!! Our posting at the same time just must stop. People will start talking! :lmao::lmao:

That's what I"m starting to think.... This idea is growing on me...

Going to Hoop started as just a little idea.... it's growing on me too...

I would say HHDR is a must do! We loved it and I think you would too! One thing is after the show they were ushering people towards the busses. My plan was to take the boat back to MK and then the POP bus from there. I just did as I was told. You wouldn't need a car if you did an earlier HDDR show and just took the boat to MK or to the TTA (if you were at the Poly when you did the show)

I actually saw HDDR last year with my 5 kids, my DSis and her 2 and my parents. It was the grandest of gatherings!! We adored the show, and still have fond memories of people swinging their napkins all over the flipping place, praying that their bits of fried chicken and shortcake wasn't going onto my plate!! OK, seriously though, we had a blast!

I forgot from your TR, were you at the latest show and out at 11:00?? Cuz, I know that the Fort boats run for a long time! I'd have taken the boat back to MK, just like you said and hopped a bus from there. Weird that they weren't giving you other options.

This posting at the same time stuff is getting out of control!! LOL

We were at the 7:15 show.. they were telling people to goto the busses. I should have known better. I blame myself.

Didn't we just talk about the budget yesterday?? :rotfl:

Maybe I was absent for part of that conversation? :rotfl2:

Cirque. HDDR. Poly.

Have I done this? Have I been a bad influence? :confused3

How many of you could have predicted months ago that this would happen?

How many of you could have predicted months ago that this would happen?

I did! :rolleyes1 LOL

I picked the Poly as your resort.. and I was right!

There are still 10 months before your trip. I wouldn't be surprised if you were staying in Cinderella's Castle concierge, with the deluxe dining plan- w/ wine package, renting a Bentley, and going for 2 weeks! ;) :lmao:

I do believe I anticipated an upgrade to Deluxe resort as well if I recall correctly! Isn't that worth a point or something? :confused3

I know! It's the Music Man! Great flick...

How funny, my co-workers were just singing that today! Yes, I work in a strange office....:rolleyes1

All kinds of excitement going around here - I can't wait to see what you decide. I would also pass on the rental car since you are all adults and should have minimal problems working the transportation system, and you can use that money for something else fun.

I like the idea of a tour on one of your solo days, since that's something you probably wouldn't be able to do again on a family trip due to cost. I'm not too sure which one would be best though. I think there used to be a WS Hidden Gems one or something like that that goes into detail on the architecture and little secrets around the WS. That just sounds interesting to me b/c I love WS. :lovestruc

As for Cirque, DH & I did it last December, and it was interesting, but I'm not sure if it was worth the cost. We just didn't really get it. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely fascinating, but we just didn't seem as enamored with it as so many other people are. Maybe we're not smart enough :confused3

If you do decide to go, remember that you will want to sit on the second tier (can't remember what seating is called) b/c there is some activity that goes on in the walkway between the tiers and it is easier to see from the 2nd level.

The website says it goes by SSR, but doesn't mention OKW. So, now I'm not sure. Here's an amazing website I just found for POR! This is like majorly complete, with a lot packed in:

http://www.portorleans.org/ferryboats.php

Are your dates for next year set?? Just wondering..... popcorn::

We've stayed at both POFQ and at OKW. The little boats link both these resorts and DTD. It's a lovely, relaxing ride! :goodvibes

Not to be a killjoy or anything, Liesa, but the nurse in me feels you really should get your gallbladder checked out. Perhaps you just passed a stone, but what if you get a fullblown acute infection out in "the middle of nowhere?" You could get septic very quickly....

That is a very good point.

And where is she, anyway????

I am going to skype her right now. She was not on here today?

without going back too far (I was going to post pictures of our trip from POR to DTD - the river trip - where they made us change boats IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER!! :rotfl2: we were in site of the OKW dock!! the problem with our boat? the walkie talkie didnt work :confused3)

It is late morning/early afternoon (ish) - I don't want to give her location away...where she is.

I hope she is ok. I trust she is ok. If I hear anything different, I will let you guys know.

Don't be too hard on yourself... maybe there really weren't any boats running. And to be honest, the transport system at the Fort at confusing at best.

Thanks for your input on the Cirque too! So much to think about!

I will definitely look into the WS one, cuz, well, that just sorta floats my boat!

Thanks, Kathy. I am feeling much better, and now I'm not sure if it was really gall bladder. It only hurt when breathed, and I"m starting to think it was something lung related. It is almost totally gone now, but if had lasted one more day, I would have gone into get a chest x-ray. I'm petrified to do that though. Last time my househelper went in the guys taking the films (they are ALL men) laughed with glee and joked that "2 plump girls were coming!" You have to totally undress, and they do make jokes. It's unbelievably unreal; things that would get someone here put in jail! :scared1:

That is a very good point.

And where is she, anyway????

I am going to skype her right now. She was not on here today?

I"m here! Just had a busy day. I've had quilting students here from 11AM until 6:00. Then I made pizza for the family. But hey!!

Guess what I just got to do??! I went online shopping and bought 2 pairs of capris, and 3 tops. For the trip! Sometime soon, I'll post pictures.

hey - I'm lost!

Maroo how come you havent posted to Alyssa's MAW trip?

Both of those sound very, very nice too. I had actually thought about the seeds tour, and would probably choose that one over the Mickey one.

Sorry to worry you all, just been a super busy week in general.

Won't have time to really DIS "well" until next week.

I am just a moron! :sad2: :sad1:

Good Morning my Tiki-Peepies!!!

We've now come the next stop in our tour of TC3 Must-Do's for the Week O' Freedom Trip.

Our Tour of Duty stops over at the Polynesian Resort of Luxury and Pure Comfort next on the agenda of merry-making; so let's take a look at what Soldier #1 plans to do here, shall we??

1) Watching Wishes from the beach is pretty high up on the list! I can't wait to take me some carpy photos and share them all with you here.

2) Most evenings around 6:00 the Poly hosts a cute little show as they light the Tiki torches. As insignificant as this sounds, I'm pretty darned excited about this! Remember, this trip is all about the usually missed, fun little things.

3) Just to feel like I'm a 5 year old little princess again, I'm going to be in search of the perfect hibiscus flower to pick up out of the landscaping (fallen already of course, because good DIS-ers don't pick flowers) to stick in my hair. I'll wear it proudly and pretend I"m the Hawaiian queen ruling over her tropical realm for an hour or two.

4) The arm flab will be taking a spin on the volcano slide for a few kicks and giggles as well.

5) And when I've had enough of acting like a tropical queen and pretending I'm 10 as I squeal down the slide, I'll go pick up some Kona blend to brew up in the mornings. Yum, yum!

6) Then, as I continue the swing to the "adult" side of life, I"ll saunter over to the lounge and rustle up a nice, juicy, tangy, sweet Lapu and sip away an hour or so, while I listen to whatever they provide for entertainment (while I contemplate WHY they let Kaleo go :confused3).

7) Doesn't taking a lei-surely walk among the lush, tropical grounds, drowning in Tahitian drumming sound luxurious?!

8) How about swinging in a hammock with a good book or a journal sound??

9) Of course, The Poly sports a few well Hidden Mickeys too. Want to come find a few with me?

10) Last, but not least, (sock this away for future reference), Soldier #1 loves her some well-prepared sushi. I'm thinking a late night snack of Nigiri or Tekkamaki (sp.?) might be in order!

Well, there you have it. Something for Soldier #1 to dream about for a few more months.

the poly looks heavenly....you're gonna have a great time...

DSC02305.jpg

AHHH! A picture like that is just what I needed this morning! I woke up the it snowing! Although, I do love snow, I'd still rather be at the lovely Poly with white sand beaches and a hammock with my name on it!

AHHH! A picture like that is just what I needed this morning! I woke up the it snowing! Although, I do love snow, I'd still rather be at the lovely Poly with white sand beaches and a hammock with my name on it!

Laying on a hammock, closing your eyes, remembering the gift of relaxation that Dad is giving you....:cloud9: How good will that will be.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!! And yes, every minute there will certainly be a gift from above!!! How can one look at it any other way?

By the way, at some point, I need to share what went down this last week. Without saying too much (right now I'm still trying to figure out things yet) my world has been rocked, and it may affect the trip in some ways. More as I sort out my thoughts...
