FC...you are exactly right....not enough education for people....I have a few horror stories from the years I lived in FL as well!

In honor of our new thread I wanted to contribute...BUT everyone has already covered the really important stuff so I figured that I would offer up a detailed list of concierge offerings:
Hope this helps someone:

a.m.- cereals, milk, oj, apple juice, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, danish, fruit salad, bagels, croissants, muffins....We also requested and received chocolate milk and one day some whole fruit

afternoon- lemonade, iced tea, coffee, pretzels, assorted nuts, cookies, gummy worms, whole fruit

early p.m.-one hot dish-ex: buffalo chili, soup, crustless peanut butter and jelly, assorted cheeses with crackers, veggies/olives, bread with a spread, assorted sodas, coffee, 2 types of wine

late p.m.- warm dessert, wines, assorted cordials, hot cocoa, coffee, cookies, bar desserts, milk

Anything we asked for they generally tried to accomodate!

I love what you've done with the place Kimmar. I've been so wacked out lately, having a tough time coping with everything. I decided to visit the one place that makes me relax, and I've been here all morning. PD to all those who are just about to go. I thought it was great when I read in the Dis Newsletter that this thread (well the other one) was the 2nd most viewed. Congrats to all!!!

Tig-girl (i think it was you who asked about tickets) - When I was comparing ticket prices for my recent trip I found that ticketmania had the best price on the ticket that I needed. I got a special code to use from mousesavers.

I decided to delurk and say hi and thanks to all of the WL posters. I've been reading posts at the DIS for almost 2 years but never posted!

My dh and I are surprising our kids dd-6, ds 4-1/2 and taking them back to Disney and the WL November 20-26. We took our first trip with the kids in May and have been thinking about returning since we came home. This will be our first onsite experience and because of this thread, we will be experiencing it at the WL!

We aren't telling the kids until we leave for the airport so I've been bursting at the seams from not telling! Our first experience in May was fantastic. It was wonderful to experience Disney again through the kids so we had to get in one more trip this year!

Laralou, you won't be dissappointed with WL! It is a beautiful resort...and during the time you will be there, the X Mas decorations will be adorning the Lodge! Have a hot drink in front of the fireplace and relax!...and a word of warning, once you stay on property, you will never stay off property! Better yet, once you stay at WL, you will always yearn for the Lodge!

Laralou, welcome to the WL thread. You'll love it here, and you'll love the lodge. We were there last year for the end of November, beginning of December, and you will absolutely love it. When you see the decorations, be prepared to get teary eyed!
Corky, where ARE you getting those pics of Jon? I'm jealous girl! But keep 'em coming so I can save them all!
Rugratsmom, thanks for the ticket info. My sister called DW yesterday, and they suggested that we wait for a package deal to come out in November, so I guess we will wait and see! I usually have a lot more planning done by this time, but they are throwing me off here!
And last but not least, my DS school principal answered my question about taking him out of school by saying that "they try to discourage vacations during the school year, but as long as he notifies each teacher and completes his assignments, its ok"!!! So it's a go! Ressies will be made asap!

Just wanted to pop in and send PD to everyone as a "house warming" gift. Love this place! Also wanted to check my countdown. Between this thread and the Trip reports my night is filled and when I fall asleep, I have the most magical dreams. As for music - before I login here, I first login to Live365 and listen to Disney music nonstop... It's free.

KCDisDad - Wow! Love the view! Is that the monorail track? My DS and I want to put in a request for this room, but I believe we're going to have to fight for it on Nov. 8th - our vacation overlaps with another WL Diser. LOL
