Pewing Nobody is laughing here! We had ice all day and now it is snowing and they are predicting up to a foot where I live. And I'm just lucky enough to live on the top of a mountain.


ROY Thanks for the warnings on the viruses. Usually my company gets the news and sends out a broadcast email, but aparently they didn't know yet. I warned my DH and DS's so they don't open any suspicious email.
Oh, and Roy, that darn wand can't reach this far!

Roy, don't you know it. When I came home this afternoon, one of my azalea bushes had several open blooms. The weather has been so beautiful here, then I heard Thursday we will be around 27. (Sorry, I know many of our family would love it just have the temp reach 27) But when it's 87 one afternoon and 27 the next morning, it can really get to You. So sense I wont be using it for the next few days I send all my sunshine way up North to our WL family members.

Maybe, The Evil Emperor Zurg...is sending out radiation laser rays to interfere with Floridacats WeatherWand. Be careful Floridacat there may be an evil plot to capture your Wonderful Wand.

ROY, this is not good! I have finally convinced my friend at work to take a trip to the world, and they are driving down on Saturday, arriving on Sunday. She has been so worried that it will be cold, and I've been assuring her that it'll be warm as toast! UH OH!

DreamFlight, thanks! The links are great. My DS will love penquin cam because he thinks they are just hysterical to watch. I can't wait to tell him! Yep, my DH is actually now trying to persuade me to forgo the next visit to the lodge, and "go west young woman"! I would just feel like such a traitorl! But, it's one or the other, thats for sure, unless I hit the lottery that is!

Sorry guys, but it is hard for me to sympathize with you Floridians! I would gladly take 52 degree weather right now! I just looked out my window and saw 12 inches of snow! Drats! That means I have to shovel 12 inches of snow(DH had to go to work)...Some snow day?!

How noisy can the courtyard view rooms be in the evening? With a toddler- should I be concerned about how much noise we can hear in our rooms- or are they pretty quiet???
And what are some of your favorite Concierge views. I've looked at the pictures shown on this thread, just wondered if there were any other faves not shown!

MagicPrincess...I have never stayed on the 7th Floor, but I imagine that it should be fairly quiet just because it is higher up!
I am hoping to get a Interior CY view and was worried about the same thing!

Oh I wish I could meet up with my WL Dis'ers in Feb. Ill be there in spirit for sure.

I still would love to see a WL Family Reunion in the future. I bet if we set a date at least a year out, we could get a great bunch of us together.

It was another snow blast for us today. My son was home from school and I took a sick day. I have cabin fever!

Too bad you won't be there Starz!! Imagine.. .traveling all the way to Florida to meet someone who lives 5 minutes away from me???!!! This will be my first stay at the WL.. but it feels like home already thanks to all of you!!

Well, it was a great week. Here's the rundown of what happened:

Sunday evening we finally got to the WL! Beautiful! We were in awe from the moment we stepped throgh the doors. Let's check in and explore! The CM says. "Looks like you've been upgraded to a Jr. Suite." My jaw nearly hit the floor! I was so floored that I forgot to inquire about Flag Family! So up to room 2000, and it was perfect. I'll be sending balcony pics from BOTH balconies soon.

Since our first night was on a separate ressie ( so we didn't waste a whole day on our UPHs), we were hoping to keep the room for the rest of the trip. DH had to get up early for the RPDE, so he went down and the CM worked it out so we could stay! Yay!

I did remember to ask about Flag Family, and got it for our last morning. It was beautiful!

It only rained one day, Monday (which required a reschedule of the RPDE for DH), and the crowds weren't too bad. The longest line was about 45 min. It was a bit too chilly for my So. Cal. self, but it warmed up by the end of the week.

A great big thank you to everyone who gave me tips on how to better enjoy our trip. It was hopefully the first trip of many more!

We are so burried in snow!!! We got at least a foot Tues night. My office acutally *closed* yesterday! A very rare event. Brittany & I were pretty lazy all day. I sure hope this will melt before we get any more, there is just no place left to put it! We average 7" of snow in Jan, so far, we've gotten 17", 10" more!

I am so excited, I just might cry!!! Today is my last day of work before vacation. Mom and I are set for our "neat and pretty" pedicures tomorrow...WEEE!!!

MagicPrincess.....I found the the concierge level to be very quiet and we never heard a peep from anyone around us....even viewing the courtyard area was very quiet. I think it shouldn't be a problem for you. Enjoy!
