I just felt like posting this.

Kimonos is, in my opinion, one of the great undiscovered places to eat in Disney...if you like sushi.

It's in the Swan and the atmosphere is very different from other Disney places. Lots of Japanese tourists eat here in the evening, so that should tell you something. Plus, they were written up in the local Orlando paper.

Good saki, nice bar area, very elegant looking, very pricey...Top Notich Sushi.

Great place to go if there are no kids in tow and you want to relaxe with good food and a bit of sake to wash it down.

There is a small sushi bar area though it's not very big. It's mostly tables with a quite elegant atmosphere.

However, if you get there when they open it's not very crowded and getting a table if you're dining w/o tablemates should be easy...the real crowds don't show up until around 7pm or later.

The sushi here is much better than at the Japanese pavillion in Epcot, which isn't bad either I would like to add. My wife claims the ginger salad was very good but, really, what's the point? :)

[on a side note, our next trip is also April/May of 06 :cool1: ]

just remember you can't use your resort card to charge back to you WDW resort.

We are going to try Kimonos this trip, but in the past we have always had sushi at the California Grill. It was fabulous and reasonably priced.

Hubby says that Wolf Gang Pucks has the best sushi of them all. He just got back tonight and confirmed this again.

I haven't been there yet. We did take our family last spring to the Japan section of Epcot. We really enjoyed the sushi there! I have also had tempura in the adjacent restaurant....oishiii (delicious)!
