Lightsabres allowed at SWW?

Since they sell them in the Star Tours store (and they have those similiar lightup toys they sell during Fantasmic), my guess is yes.

When I was there last year several people had them, so I would say yes. YMMV, that was just my experiene last year! Have fun!

When we went in 2003, our boys took theirs with them. It made for some really cute pics with the jedis and good conversation with the face characters.

My son is really into Star Wars this year ! Anyone ever have their kids dress up ? This will be the first year we are there for SWW and my DH and DS will be thrilled !!

A lot of kids (and adults) dressed up last year. I can't believe some of the costumes, they must have been so hot!! I opted for my normal shorts and tee routine! :D

My 2 grandsons are going with us and they both have the talking Darth Vadar full head masks and lightsabres that extend up to 3-ft!! And they are only 3 & 4 yrs. old!!! I'm hoping to find the time to make 2 black full length capes for them to wear next Saturday!!! :flower:

The youngest one got his pic taken last weekend in front of Grauman's Chinese theater in Hollywood with a Storm Trooper!! :flower:

This trip is a surprise for them...I can't wait to see their faces when we are waiting for the park to open. I heard that they have Storm Troopers positioned on top of some of the building in the front of MGM to "protect" the gates until opening time. I am soooo looking forward to this trip.

All of this talk about Star Wars Weekends is making me jealous! I know that I just went to WDW in March but I would love to be able to afford to go to a SWW! I'm such a huge SW fan, I've already got my tickets to the 12:01 showing of Revenge of the Sith next wednesday night/thurs morning! Oh well maybe next year...

DNeph will be bringing his lightsaber, too !! I thought it might be too hot for dressing up, but I got him a really cute SW tshirt with Yoda on it that says "Size matters not!" and a cap with Yoda on the front ! Found a pack of cardboard Darth Vader masks in the party store - thought they might be fun to share. . . also found a great red tshirt in KMart yesterday with a black silhouette of Darth Vader - want to get an embroidery hoop and have some of the characters sign it with black fabric marker so he can wear it all summer !! :smooth:

Lightsabres are permitted but blasters need to be checked at the turnstiles. Using the force to influence ride ops to move you to the front of lines is also prohibited.

I'm sure DS (and maybe even DH:)) will bring their lightsabers. DS takes his everywhere!
