We are going in December and my son wants a lightsaber but I’m not willing to pay $200 to make one at the workshop plus I can’t make a reservations since they are all taken. I remember they used to have a store outside the star tours ride. Do they still have them to make without the pricey $200 price tag ?

As of August they still had the build your own lightsabers in Tatooine Traders at the exit to Star Tours. They were $40 I believe

They also had them this past week inside Mouse Gears at EPCOT.

$40 is more my price range for a toy. Hopefully those stores will continue to sell them til December

They sell premade lightsabers at Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities in SWGE. They are between $100-150. They are "character" light sabers. But, the same build quality as the ones you build yourself. But, if you are looking for a toy, they ALSO sell toy lightsabers at Dok Ondar's. They have red and blue.

My daughters just did this last week, they are $29.99 for a build-your-own single saber (doubles were $39.99 IIRC). Color options are red, blue, green and purple, and they make the light saber sound, too. In addition to Tatooine Traders at the exit of Star Tours, there is also a store at Disney Springs called Star Wars Galactic Outpost with the exact same BYO experience.

In addition to Tatooine Traders (Star Tours gift shop), the cheaper lightsabers can be made at MouseGears at epcot and Space Mountain gift shop at MK.
