lights on golf carts

Hi
we leave in 24 hours and it hit me we always wanted to put lights on our golf cart(Disney carts) What is the secret to hooking up the lights???

We use a 400 watt inverter(pep boys $40.00) with clips for the batteries, and a seperate battery (12v) battery., also runs the fog machine and the cart stereo. :banana: enjoy, see u in a couple weeks.
 
I have a similar question, but different ;)

Do the carts have HEAD lights on them so that you can drive after dark?

Okay, I had to go read what it was--it is a Black and Decker Electromate 400. It is orange and black and you charge it up for about 18 hours the first time. Then you can plug things in to it and they run just fine. It was about $100 at Walmart but so easy that a...

well, I can do it! It rides up front under our feet, and when we stop we just throw a towel over it. Seemed to work fine for us.
 
Thanks everyone for your help.As inviting as the LONG extension cord is we may find ourselves using one of the other suggestions :)
Heading out tomorrow and can't wait to put our ghost lights on the cart.

If you check at the discount stores you can probably find short strings of battery powered lights which use a couple of flashlight batteries. There are usually about 10 lights in a string but I have seen larger strands using LED lights. This would be a lot cheeper and easier than buying and hooking up an inverter.
