I have a couple questions about the LMA show at MGM for anyone who's seen it. Does it run pretty much on time and does it take a long time to exit because of the crowds? I have a 12:55pm ADR and I'm wondering if it's feasible for me to go to the show at noon and still make my ADR time? Also at what time do FP become available for that first show?

We're leaving Thursday to head to WDW :cool1: and I'm trying to finalize our plans. MGM is tough because of trying to plan how to see the shows we like.

Thanks for your help!

I can't remember how long the show lasted, but it did take a while for everyone to exit since the theatre is so large. MGM is hard to plan. WHile I love it, I always feel like I'm running like crazy to catch a show!

It's 35 minutes. Where's your ADR? Instead of FastPasses, if you really want to see the show at that time and still make your ADR, I'd go extra early and when they start letting people in, hustle as quickly as you can. Explain to the CMs directing Guests into the stands that you need to leave RIGHT when the show ends and ask if you can be seated by the exit (same as the entrance). Ideally, your ADR is for Mama Melrose's because it's closest.

When we were there Sept 1, the first show was at 1:00. It was stopped part way through for about 15 minutes, due to electical activity in the area. After the show I felt the crowd moved along quite well considering the number of people that were there. I found it hard to move around MGM anyways

We were trying to get to another show after LMA and there were lots of people on the sidewalks. It made it a little difficult to navigate but we were able to weave in and out of people and get over to Bear's house in under 10 minutes. We were about half way up the bleachers in the middle of the section. As long as you know where you are going and the shortest way there, you shouldn't have a problem.

We've given up on sit down lunches at MGM, when we've done that we always miss a scheduled show. Last trip we did three hits at MGM! We did a day from park opening till about 3pm. Then we went back another day just for the last Beauty and Beast show and Fantasmic, and thirdly we did an emh morning to hit the big rides one more time and left the park by 11am! Worked for us.

If the crowd levels hold I think you will not have a problem. The show started about 5 mins late for us last Thursday but the bleachers were only about 2/3 full. I didn't find it took long to leave but..... we were on the right hand side bleachers (if you are looking at the bleachers from the stage) and we thought it would be faster to walk up to the top exit - we assumed it was a side exit - Nope!! It was just a really long way to end up back in the 'tunnel' you enter by. If you sit in the left hand side bleachers I believe you will be closer to the exit.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I was there last weekend and they weren't even using fastpasses for it because the crowds were so low.

Definitely FP it, they'll seat you lower and in the middle, so it will be easy to get out. You should be alright otherwise.

Enjoy the show, it's awesome.

Our show was supposed to start at 4:40, but it finally started at 5:10.
This was August 2005. We were stuck under the stadium for almost
a half hour. And it was *hot*. We weren't "trapped," though, because
some people did just turn around and leave.

Exiting after the show was easy for us. As you sit and look at the show,
we were on the left side, and we just went down and out the left side
to leave. It did not take a long time.

We did not FP the show. I wonder if the FP people got seated first.
If so, then the FP is worth it....not to get a better seat as much as
to get out of the "pre-show holding pen" earlier.

The show was good enough to make up for the horrible pre-show wait.

The ADR we have at 12:55 is at SciFi, not a great time but it was all I could get. I guess when we get there we'll see what times the shows are and do the best we can. We have a FDP on another night and I'm hoping to leave Epcot that day and get to MGM early enough to catch a show or two before dinner so we won't have as many that we're trying to cram in on the other day we're over there. It's just so hard to fit them all in!

Thanks for everyone's info on LMA, we'll keep all your tips in mind!
