Could someone please explain how the FP works for this show? Last time there, our son decided (rather late in the day) that he wanted to see this. It was about 45 min prior to the show, and I asked a CM near the front of the park if we would get in without a FP and she said probably not. We hurried on back there anyway, and walked right into the waiting area as did many people behind us. As a matter of fact I did not even notice the FP entrance.

So, next time if I get a FP what will I gain? Do they have an entrance for one side of the theater that I could use if I showed up say 5 or 10 minutes prior to the show?

Thanks!

I cant imagine needing a FP for this attraction.. We went and saw it in March and tons of people go in for each show.. I think its odd that a CM would say you probably wouldnt make it in without a FP..

When I was at MGM last Tuesday, I noticed on the tip board that it said no fastpasses for LMA that day. This was probably 9:30 in the morning, so they could not have been gone for the day.

When we were there in Feb, the CM said they only do FP on busy days. (I think at the time they said on Saturdays only? I could be wrong.) Maybe someone has a MGM weekly schedule to see if it has it listed on there.

It seems like LMA can hold a heck of a lot of people, though.

I was there in March and there was no fastpasses being given out. They said they use them on busier days. I then went again in April when they were using them and still go into the show. I find that as long as you get there 20 minutes prior to the show than you will be fine. I think this attraction is a waste of a fastpass.

When we went over Springbreak I was amazed at how many people can get in there.. Thousands... Once everyone is in there than they have everyone scoot down to let more in.. They literally pack you in there like sardines.. I agree that its a waste of a FP..

Then you don't (and MANY guests don't) understand how the FP's for THIS attraction (LMA) work (and they are very different than other FP's).

You can get a FP for LMA and then get another FP for a different attraction at MGM almost immediately.
Or you can already have a FP for another MGM attraction and still get one for LMA.

Yes, you don't have the "waiting period" that other FP's require from other rides.

So, if they are offering LMA FP's... get one... and still continue to use a FP for another attraction if it fits your schedule.

Good to know.. I didnt realize that if you get this FP than you can still get another immediately or already have one and get this FP.. when we went it was quite busy and we were able to get in with no problem.. but I guess if it doesnt hurt anything to get one than no problem to do so..

When we have gotten them in the past, CM's were just handing them out and you didn't need to show your ticket.

We were just there last week and I ran to the back of the park to get a Fastpass, only to find out they were not giving them out that day. The CM told me that the park wasn't busy enough for fastpasses. I wasted time and energy going all the way back there. But Studios did have a very light crowd that day, so everything worked out great!
