We loved it, too. Especially because the first time we saw it they had to end early because of a crash!

WOW! You sure got your money's worth! I love the show.

I'm not really into action stuff, but I enjoyed this show a lot.

Obviously, another question that will have everyone debating on one side or the other. If people don't like it :yay: more room for me. I'll be able to bring my popcorn:: , stretch out and enjoy the show :dance3:

I don't mind less crowds. Bring it on. Lights, Motor...Yippee :woohoo: !!!

I compared it to watching paint dry. However, I can see the appeal to some people. Of course I like Sounds Dangerous, so what do I know? :confused3

I thought they did a great job with the show! There was a short break due to a minor wreck. We would totally see it again. DS & DH loved the action and the precision driving of the cars.

My DS10 and DS12 loved it, as well as my hubby. I thought it took kinda' long to set up the stunts, but it makes you appreciate what goes into doing these things on a movie set. My husband used to work for a company that provided cars for movies filming in Chicago, and has been "on set" many times. It is a real "slow go" most of the time. I think it is good for kids to see that not everything is instant gratification. We were there in late April and the weather was nice, plus we were in the top row catching a nice breeze. I cannot imagine sitting thru the show in 90-100 degree weather and enjoying it as much as we did!

Hi,
We have seen this once and if we are traveling alone we would not see it again. But our 9yrs nephew loves cars and loved this show so if he is with us and still in his car phase we will have to see this again.

I have to ask. What is "meh"?

"meh" is a term used along the lines of "blah".

I think that it is great that MGM added such a signature show, which apparently a lot of people really like.

That being said, everyone in our group (me, DH, DS8, and DD almost 6) thought that it was just ok but not a headliner attraction for us.

We are going back to Disney in Dec. and it is not on our list of things to do - when we told that to the kids they did not complain. They'd rather ride Rock n Roller Coaster more times and watch me and DH turn green!!! Oh wait, this time they'll both be old enough to ride on their own.... (just kidding --DD will be 7 but I think that's too young to go on without me or DH, but maybe on the teacups at the MK!!!).

I saw Lights, Motors, Action 1 time in August 2005 & I thought the show was good. I am happy that I saw it, but I don't think I would see it again. In my opinion the commercials over hyped it a little to much, but that is just what I think.

I am very much a petrol head, so yes I did enjoy it very much :) For me it didn't ruin the effect by having them show you how the tricks were done - I know how much work must have gone into making those cars the way they are now... it's crazy!! The stunts were great, but like another person said, I think I nearly missed the big finale too! They could have said something... But again taking into consideration - I am a petrol head and do find these types of things interesting :) If I had a complaint, it would be that I thought the show was rather long - a bother maybe if I'd been in WDW, but time filled in DLP (see below)

However, I saw this at DLP where the show is originally from - MGM Studios at DLP is quite small and not really that developed yet. There were only 3 actual rides I would count as for being for me - so Lights! was a welcome gap-filler between rock'n'roller coaster and the Stars and Cars Parade :)

As I've not been to WDW before, I probably won't go see Lights! there as I've seen it before in Paris. It's not because I didn't enjoy it, but it's more or less the same show (but without all the French!) and I'd rather experience some new things in WDW Orlando! The big PLUS - Lights! has a BIG BIG capacity, if it's anything like DLP, so it will draw some crowds away from the rides!! :)

So that's my view on the show - I'd definately do it once - you might like it, and the stunts are great! It's more of a 'Backlot' show than anything e.g. show you how they do it in films. No seat is really a bad seat, we got in just before the show started and found a seat at the back and saw everything.

Man this show was a real stinker. Uhh..heres 1 minute of some action, now we'll ruin it all by showing you the tricks, when in actuality all were really doing is trying to buy some time to get the next minute of action setup.

Very "meh" in my opinion.

That's the purpose of the entire show. Just like the Indy show.

how long is this show? It sounds like it may be a mediocre show that takes up way too much valued MGM time. Perhaps, if it was shorter people would like it more? I don't know. I haven't seen it.

I don't like this show either. I'm not much of a fan of stunt shows. I was very disappointed when I knew this was coming, I had already seen it in Paris and was not very keen. I think that one big stunt show in MGM is enough. I really wish they had kept Hunchback

I completely agree! I was enjoying it for the first 5 minutes and it went so downhill. I won't be going again.

Our show lasted about 35 minutes, give or take a couple of minutes, plus the 20 minutes we waited for it to start, then another 5 to get out at the end...so about an hour total. We were there last September so it wasn't crowded at all, we could have come in later since the stadium is pretty big and didn't fill. I'm not sure if it fills during more crowded times or not.

We didn't like it very much either. The only part that impressed me was the "backwards" driving...then it was like..."Ohh..welll...phhttbbb..." when they showed you how they did it. We were very quick to get out of there when the show was over!!
I am with you there! I only saw it one time and that was May of last year, that was enough for me... :sad2:
