Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

Hey, Stranger!! :wave2:

I've been away from the boards myself for a couple of weeks but, Man! Is it ever good to see you posting again!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Jordan, I've been thinking about you a lot and praying, too. I can feel that you are gathering up your strength in order to face the demons from your past and I admire you so much for that (my eyes are getting moist as I type).

You've got such a wonderful group of supportive DIS-friends here... I know that I'm not alone when I wish you complete healing and inner peace. :grouphug:

Love,

Kathy

I hope even w/o a trip coming up soon that you'll be around...I'll be there when you start your next PTR...

Kathy, please continue to pray. It's good, but really hard.

Good days and bad days...

thanks for always being encouraging.

Wow, what a coincidence. My little brother is a Sunday school teacher and HIS class just graduated to the next level today too! He cares for the 5 and under group. He says he's really going to miss them, even though not all of them remembers his name

My siblings and I treated our dad to a dinner at Baton Rouge, and a showing of Karate Kid. That movie's REALLY good! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to Jordy's mini-tr of Palm Springs again

I teach K -1st grade SS - they graduated last week, but some are still having trouble with the transition. One 5 yr old doesn't want to come out of the preschool class - he was called on to pray during worship - he stood up tall on the platform and prayed in a loud voice, "Dear God, ....help me be able to go to my new place in Sunday School! And please bring World Peace!" :rotfl2: He's 5!!! I can't wait to see him preach when he's 12 :goodvibes

jordan glad to see you were around busy but around while i was gone.

thought about you on the trip but did not notice well noticed, but did not dawn on my to take the peep pics.

thanks alot for finding the rock for me, thta looks like it.

also sneaked on top of the contemporary and also got in BLT as well, my parents made it in farther, cause we had to run to our reservations at the poly that night and they were staying at Cont, for dinner.

hopefully will be starting the TR in a few days, have to get all of my dads pics as well,

like blue said it was very hot down there, even hot for FL weather i heard it was setting temp records for that time or getting very close to them during out rip.

Welcome Home Dan!! Can't wait to hear about all your adventures!

Aw, thanks Tracy.... it wasn't too hard for me but Erin still gets sensitive and a little emotional when she thinks about my dad (which is surprising to see since most of the time she's so rambunctious and powers through like a freight train...) but when we were at the cemetary, she had a hard time looking at the gravesite and talking to my dad... she misses him. However, she and Dylan had no problem running all over all the OTHER gravesites nearby... Dylan said "Erin, roll down the hill..." and she said "No, I might hit my head on the headstone like I did last time [they were there]" Ha ha ha. And then she said "how come some names are 'not usual'?" ... as she looked upon an Asian person's grave whose name was "How So". Hee hee hee. So we had a little lesson in cultural names there. Ha.

That's so cute!:lovestruc

Hey Jordan! Welcome back to the land of the DIS. I've got about 20 pages to catch up on, so it may take me a while.

Oh I wish you would have posted this a week or so ago. James and I made a "special" trip over to this bathroom last Monday afternoon after the ladies exited the park for something else. We were sorely disappointed....it was just as you described it being back in February. TP and water on the floor. Kinda gross, and neglected by the janitorial staff. I was surprised it was your favorite bathroom, but I figured it must not have been in it's usual state of cleanliness. But it does have one thing going for it -- quiet. It's so out of the way, almost no one goes back there. So, although it was not very clean, I was able to take care of some ah, business, with no one else in the whole place, and there's definitely something to be said about that.

Did you ever check out the bathroom at the fitness center at Kidani? Now that's a bathroom!

Okay, Jordan is so popular on the DIS that he's like Oprah. He recommended that restroom and now EVERYONE is using it - the CMs can't keep up with the demand!:lmao:

Dan,

Congrats on making it to the BLT...I knew you'd do it. Your next mission is make it to the top of BLT or did you do that?

I will be along for the TR for sure my good friend.

I was there in June 2007. It was unbearably hot. It was bad because there weren't those afternoon thunderstorms to cool things off and clouds to hide the sun.

Thanks for popping in brother.

Hey! I was there June 2007 too! It must have been a different week - we were there June 4-13 and we had the heat, but it stormed every afternoon - I mean running out of epcot in knee-deep water! We were soaked and didn't go to our ADR at CP because we didn't want to freeze in the A/C. We went back and ordered pizza room service.

The sister who was there with me will be here next week with her family, just in time for my 51st Bday!!:banana::banana:

Well, as July 1st quickly approaches, so too brings the short life of Jordan's Peeps as Ning.com announced new pricing plans which make the free service, no longer free.

The Mini Plan (at $2.95 per month) supports up to 150 members while the next level up Plus Plan (at $19.95 per month) is for unlimited members.

Sorry that Jordan's Peeps won't live on long enough to make it to the 2012 peepfest but I don't think Wendy would want me to keep paying for something that would eventually end.

Thus, we'll have to resume regular communications via this TR.

Chapter 33. Touring the WS.

I have toured the World Showcase in many different ways, but this was the first time I have sat my way around the World Showcase. I have to admit I am not completely adverse to this style of touring. Is this another sign of age? Lots of resting. Lots of people watching. Lot of seeing things from a different angle or "elevation". Not a bad way to spend a late afternoon/early evening.

So after napping at the Circle of Life, we (Winkers, DJay, Rosie and I) headed over to Mexico to meet up with Derek, Dylan, Ashlyn, Kim and Allen. Wendy and Erin were headed to China to do a Kim Possible mission....Here is some of their adventure:

While Erin and Wendy were off saving the world, we were meeting up with Derek and Gang at the Mexico Pavilion. We decided to do the Gran Fiesta. What a nice relaxing, SITTING RIDE. Every time I see this I think of FauntleroyFan and every time I take a picture.

After the ride, we walked around the indoor straw market a bit. I don't make a habit of stopping normally as we can walk down the street here in CA and basically pick the same things up for a fraction of the cost, but I did notice this:

Of course the obligatory sombrero picture. Maracas placement intentional.

Dylan was NOT feeling it.

On to Norway where we waited for Wendy and Erin to complete their mission. We sat for a bit. Then headed onto Maelstrom-there was actually a posted 30 minute wait. I haven't waited for this ride in years....but what the heck. Wendy and Erin missed meeting up with us so they took some pictures while they were waiting for us:

I still have a troll doll from my 1984 visit to Norway. It's about 18 inches tall and no child has ever wanted anything to do with it. :lmao:

I laughed at you standing behind the very tired tourist. :rotfl:

Great pictures of the kids.

OMG I don't know if I am coming to Peepfest. You take some pretty embarrassing pictures of people and I am a clumsy dork so goodness knows what you would post of me.

The picture of you with the sleeping guy on the ECV is hilarous :rotfl2: and the troll pictures are always great.

You have to come. I won't post any embarrassing pictures of you...well...I say that now.......;)

I love that Mulan helped with the Kim Possible mission :goodvibes

The sleeping ecv driver is too funny but let's face it WDW can be exhausting

I love the picture of Mulan helping Erin on her KP mission! Adorable!

Great pictures with the sombreros and maracas, the sleeping man in the ECV, and the troll! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Ok I am dying of laughter at this! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You would fit in so well with our family we would have done the exact same thing. My hubby and I are going to Germany this fall and this has me thinking what kind of odd and unusual pictures we could take??

Peepfest 2012 for your 50th is going to be so much fun (even if I do wish it was during a cooler month). :teeth:

.....still laughing tears......

You say that like it's a bad thing. I still find it the perfect benediction for a well made meal.

Isn't that supposed to be like a huge complement in some cultures???? :lmao:

Great pics! Man am I getting psyched for our return trip, and it is still 6 months away.

Now I've heard of the drink your way around the world, but not the sit your way around. I commend you for finding a new style of touring!

I love that boat ride with Donald. Call me one of the corny people who actually enjoys it. Never mind that it's sitting and relaxing, it's just plain fun. :lmao:

I love the idea of sitting your way around WS. I think I'm going to make this a goal for my next trip. :lmao:

You and the sleeping man. :rotfl2:

LOL!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
You and your sleeping victims, they don't stand a chance!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I told Kevin our goal is Peepfest June 2012! We'll see what we can do.
