Lights, Motor, Action! Question

My DH is a really big car nut, and when we were at WDW in October, he saw LMA twice and really liked it, but during and since our trip he has talked repeatedly about wanting to see if it's possible to tour the "shop" or do some sort of backstage tour of the attraction. I think he's probably nuts so I have just told him that I doubt it, but the closer we get to our next trip the more I think that it's worth asking all of the "experts" here. I know that if there is an answer to be had, it might be here. He's really not a stalker, just a guy who is fascinated by cars, especially unique or unusual or really fast ones... even after almost 30 years of working on them for a living. I would love to be able to tell him that "I checked with the DISers and they said...."

I am not aware of any tour but knowing Disney if they thought there was a demand they would start one. So I would keep checking.

If you do the Backlot tour it takes you past the LMA practice area, and also through the storage area where they keep the parts for the cars. It's not up close but you see some stuff.

Thanks so much for your quick replies. I know when we did the Backlot Tour he saw some tires stored near the costuming area, but that's all. I guess the best advice is what SafetyMom says, we'll just "keep checking back".

Call Disney It is expensive but you can book special tours. A few years ago some friends booked a tour and got to go back stage at the Haunted Mansion.

I dont think any of the current backstage tours go to the Lights, Motots, Action area.
