Just curious....

Since WDW was obviously designed with the "occasional" summer Thunderstorm in mind.... I assume most rides/attractions were built with local conditions in mind. I know that a majority of the rides/shows/attractions are indoors or covered. But.... how many are "grounded" enough that they can continue if Lightning occurs?

It may be easier to ask this.... what closes when the lightning comes?

I know the water parks close - so I'm talking about the 4 main parks.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to bump this back to page one for you. I'm sure some of our veterans can answer your question.

I know I'm not getting them all but BTMRR,SplashMt,Jungle Cruise,Astro Obitor,Tomorrowland Speedway,Dumbo those are the ones I can think of at MK.

All of EPCOT should be okay.

Kali,Safari at AK.Dinoland carnival type rides.I'm not sure about the trails.

MGM...I'm not sure if Indy might be closed and maybe the Band B show.

I don't think this is a complete list but maybe it will help a little!:D

at EPCOT Test TRack closes since part of it goes out doors.

Pretty much any ride that is part outdoors closes.

All outdoor rides will usually close and some of the shows. Sometimes depending on the weather they will open right back up.
