We’re planning on spending 1/2 day at Animal Kingdom, and then going to Magic Kingdom later in the afternoon for MNSSHP. If I purchase lightning lane for Animal Kingdom, will I be able to reserve rides at Magic Kingdom between 4:00-6:00(before the party begins)?

If you have park hopper tickets this is a great option. We have done it and found it fantastic. As soon as you use your first pass you can book a fast pass at any park.

I think it's definitely worth checking. I wish I could give you something more definitive.

I agree. We just finished a visit and the combination of lightning lane and park hoppers is very efficient. It really does double the amount of headline attractions that you can do each day.

Then you are limited to a single park for lightning lane.
Have you tried doing this before (with a normal ticket and a special event ticket) or are you just assuming? I just ask because 3 years ago when I was a cast member and my family came to visit me, they were lucky enough to be there during a preview for Guardians where I was able to get a free ticket to Epcot for them one day, which they used in addition to their one-park-per-day ticket for Magic Kingdom that day and if I remember right, they were able to book rides in both Magic Kingdom and Epcot without any trouble, which makes me think that all the system cares about is that you have valid admission to both parks that day. But that was with genie+ and a different type of ticket so it could be different now

I am also planning to do a half day at AK then go to MNSSHP (on 8/26) and I can report here if I have any luck getting lightning lane in both parks. My day to book LLs was today and I was successfully able to book multi pass for AK and FOP in addition to Tron, which is hopeful. Although I noticed that even on other days it would also let me book single pass rides in different parks from the one I bought multi pass for which is really interesting since I don’t have a park hopper

These are the best quotes I can find online:

"If your park admission includes Park Hopper benefits, you can even choose from multi pass experiences in other parks."

"No, you cannot book Lightning Lane selections in multiple parks on the same day without a park hopper ticket."

That is how LLSP works, you get up to (2) per day, and they may be at any park. It has been this way since July 24, 2024. There is no ticket check for LLSP for a valid ticket at a second park in MDE.

I just wanted to report my experience trying to book LLMP for both AK and MK today (with a 1-park-per-day ticket and a party ticket). I had my original 3 LLs in AK and it was really interesting (and annoying) because when I used my first LL I clicked on Tiana’s to try to book it and it said I was eligible but then when I clicked continue it gave me the message saying it was no longer available. That’s not an uncommon message for Tiana’s but I discovered that any ride at MK I tried to book would give me that message after telling me I was eligible to book it. I looked to see if it would do the same thing for Epcot and HS but for those it said something like “this guest can only purchase passes for Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Park.” So it definitely recognized I had admission to both parks today but I think the system was pretty confused with me having two separate forms of admission. While standing in line for FOP I used the chat feature on the app and the cast member I spoke to was very kind and she did something to make it so I could book in Magic Kingdom. Right now I have Tiana’s, Space, and Peter Pan booked so this is a huge win!

So basically, the system doesn’t automatically allow you to book in both parks, but if you get a nice CM they might be able help you. That said I think maybe this should be seen as a magical moment and not something to do all the time. Usually I get park hoppers but the 3 day 1 park per day deal to get into all the parks except MK was too good to pass up this time. Having a 1 park per day pass definitely feels like a big downgrade for lightning lane but I’m glad it worked out well for me today. Anyway I just thought you all might be interested to hear about my experience

That's correct. In your specific situation you should not have any issues at MK after you use your MNSSHP ticket. If you had a park hopper it would have been seamless.

Also if you had booked your LLMP for MK, then you could have made up to 3 LLMP attractions in advance but this would have required you to not purchase a LLMP for your start in AK.

No, the system was working as it is currently designed to operate it was not confused.

You have a valid ticket for AK that you used to enter AK, and you have a MNSSHP ticket for after 4 PM today (that was the system let you see LLMP return time but it would not let you book LLMP at MK until you would have entered at 4 PM today.

The CM just gave you a head start on being able to modify or book your additional LLMP attractions for MK but you can't enter until 4 PM since you don't a MK day ticket.
