We are going with 6 and 8 Yr. old in June and I need to learn about the LLPP. So far I read that you can only reserve 7 days prior to stay. Is this one of those things that you need to get on line at midnight to reserve? Do they sell out quickly? Also it looks like it is a huge price range. I assume this goes by the day and the park but wondering if anyone could give me a round about number for June for MK? I saw another post about an all together different subject that said "Explain please. Take me by the hand like a toddler and tell me all about it" It made me laugh and that would be me :) Thank you

First let's start with the basics. There are 3 types of purchased Lightning Lane options.
  1. Lightning Lane Single Pass (LLSP) - purchase for 1 experience on a specific limited list of attractions. There are only 2 in the MK. Tron and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at this time.
  2. Lightning Land Multi Pass (LLMP) - pre-purchase 3 experiences in 1 park, then you are able to continue get additional LLMP selections as you use them 1 by 1 with a rolling balance of 3 at any one time. No re-rides with your LLMP
  3. Lightning Lane Premiere Pass (LLPP) - No scheduling, just tap in at the LL entrace. Price for MK is currently $399 - $449 per day and you can enjoy all the attractions that have a LL in MK. Limit 1 experience per attraction. No re-rides with your LLPP.
Do you want to change your Subject to Lightning Lane information that would more generally cover LLMP and/or LLSP or are you focused only on the Premier pass Experience?

Lightning Lane Premiere Pass had not started last June, so there is no direct comparison re prices. You can see the prices of upcoming and past dates at this webpage: https://www.thrill-data.com/premier-pass/wdw

It does sell out in busier times even at those prices. The webpage cited above has sell-out data, but an easier to read list can be found here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/lightning-lane-premier-pass-llpp-history-of-sellout-dates.3962591/
(I'm not sure how up-to-date it is, but it may give you an idea about how often LLPP sells out.)

You can buy LLPP (and the other LLs) at 7:00 AM Eastern time seven days before your Disney resort check-in. If not staying at a Disney resort, it depends on your ticket type.

Thank you so much for your help. I did change the title for hopefully more responses. I may change my mind since $400+ is quite alot times 4. Is LLMP less expensive? Can you use gift cards for payment? I guess I better start buying discounted gift cards. :) Do you have to reserve specific times? Thank you

Yes a LLMP for MK is $29 today and the high so far since June 24th, 2024 is $39 per day. Disney sets the pricing 21 days in advance on a rolling calendar. Here is a quick summary by park:

Yes you are able to use Gift Card for purchases.

Do you have to reserve specific times?
Yes for you initial 3 selections per park per day you purchase. As you use your LLMP selections, you search for available attractions and times and then select replacements so that you may have 3 attractions most of the time. The default times are 1 hour apart for your first 3.

I have a LL question :). We are going to HS after dark this month and wanted to know if we could or even should buy a LLSP for Rise of Resistance?

Only if you plan to be at HS on a day ticket before the park closes for the After Hours Event. LLMP and/or LLSP are not valid or used for AH Events.

Dave

Bummer. Ok Thank you :)
You can enter HS at 7 pm with an AH ticket. You can buy LLSP for Rise for 7-9 or 10 when the park is still open to regular guests. There are just no LL after the AH event starts, which I believe is 10-1 in March.

You will not need a LL during AH. I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes for Rise during AH.

Going next week and I already messed up on our LL. Apparently you can book your LLMP earlier than the 7 days if you're staying onsite and the 7-day mark unlocks the rest of your trip days? I thought it'd be 7 days from your park visit regardless but it makes sense that it would work like dining to avoid having to wake up at 7am to book consecutive days.

And I missed out on Mine Train LLSP. Who knew it sold out that quickly now, but there was still plenty of Tron?

Yes, you can book 7 days before you check in day for the duration of your stay.

Mine train often sells out before Tron because it’s a better coaster for younger kids.

I'm confused I thought you could not book LLMP or LLSP until 7 days before you check in. We are staying onsite, Like I check in on March 25th and we are going to be at the Parks the night of the 26th for the After Hour and then park hop on 27th and 28th. I thought I had to wait until Tuesday the 18th (7 days before our check in to our hotel) to buy any of the LLMP or LLSP. Is this not true? That I can purchase the first set of passes for the 27th and then the ones for the 28th on the 18th 7 days before? I am so confused now.

Also in some places I read it says you must have a valid "park reservation"...... what does that mean?

Yes you can book LLMP and/or LLSP selections for all your park days on the 18th. Some guests have reported that they are able to book LLMP and/or LLMP for park days when they only have a Special Event ticket like you HS After Hours ticket on the 26th. You will know on the 18th if it works or not.

@We'reGoingToDisney was indicating that you might be able to book a LLSP for RotR for your HS on the 26th night beginning on March 18th or later. And that you could use the LLSP from 7 PM until HS closes for the night at 9 PM. You can't use LLMP and/or LLSP during the actual party hours of 10 PM - 1 AM and also that you really won't need one for RotR during the actual party hours.

It means that depending on your ticket type you may be required to make a park reservation. The newer Dated tickets don't require park reservations. All other ticket types require a park reservation for the first park you enter on a given day.

What type of tickets will you be using on the 27th and 28th?

Regular park tickets-- two day park hoppers

Regular park tickets-- two day park hoppers
If they don't have a specific start date such as March 28, 2025 then you will need a park reservation for each of them. They are considered non-dated tickets. Just use the link I provided above and it is really easy and a straight forward process. Note: Park reservations are required for the first park you enter and then you are able to hop to any other park that same day.

I just bought tickets for the 25-28 time frame. I bought park hoppers through Disney. Do I still need to make a park reservation because I asked if I needed to do anything else and she said no that I am good to go. Also where can I find the link of LL availbility again? I get to start purchasing them tomorrow at 7
