Lighthouse Point - June 15th

It varies by region. About half of the schools in the U.S. (mostly in the South) let out at the end of May and resume in mid-August. The other half (mostly in the North) let out in mid-June and resume at the beginning of September. Which is why DCL prices rise precipitously at the end of May and stay elevated until September, with a peak in pricing from mid-June to mid-August.
Yup I always started the after Labor Day and ended mid June around this time in NJ

Interesting comment. Wish there was a source that shows just when most schools let out. Google seems to indicate the end of May, but without attribution. The district I live in ended June 4. Seems the trend the last 25 years has been to start and end earlier. School started August 10th. When I was in school 60 years ago (yikes) we started the day after Labor Day and ended the second Friday of June. But they now take more time off during the school year. A week for Thanksgiving instead of just Thursday and Friday. A week for President's Day instead of one day, and every Thursday is a half day for students, the second half of the day is for teacher prep.
Just a quick look at northeast schools, from NJ to the New England area, looks like most schools get out later this week.

@kathi - were there benches at the tram stop? Or any place to sit down after the pier walk?

At the time you eventually got off the ship, what kind of wait was there for the tram?
I do not recall seeing any benches. I assume they are coming just not there yet. We don’t wait at all because we left the ship about an hour after all ashore. There are a lot of trams so hopefully it won’t be an issue. The next time the Fantasy is there should be a good gauge since it’s a bigger ship.

TVGuy,
Our district ends next week (NJ/NY Metro area). Kids are still in class here.
