Light as a feather, stiff as a board & Ouiji boards....

Of course not, those are Milton Bradley's way to open the gateway for demons to possess you.

We used to do the one "fill your head with sand", and maybe couple other mind trick ones. Ouiji boards were completely out of the question. But my sister did show me one that still creeps me out a bit.

Take three pens, caps off, put them in a |_| holding the corners. Two people worked better than one. You said a name, and asked if he wanted to come and play. If the pens moved in /_\ it was yes or no (i forget), if they moved out \_/ it was the opposite. If it was a yes, then you could ask more yes or no questions.

Who knows if it's satanic, but it sure was creepy to me at 12 years old. To amusing to stop. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still passed around in middle school today.

None of our parents would ever allow us to get a Ouija board so I've never personally done one of those. I did see a very convincing experiement regarding one on Penn & Teller BS! They had "witches" from Salem try one and then without them knowing they turned it upside down and the pointer kept going to where the "yes" and "no" were supposed to be, so funny!

We did light as a feather all the time. I never experienced anything other than a bunch of silly giggly girls trying to lift each other and then collapsing into hysterics. We never had anything come of it, and obviously I'm a pretty big skeptic.

What about Bloody Mary, ever been brave enough to go through with it? Admittedly that one used to freak me out and I'd chicken out, still think about at night when I use the bathroom sometimes

My friend and I once asked the Ouija the names of our future husbands. It gave us two names. I wish I could remember what they were. A year or two later, my mother decided that Ouija boards were the work of Satan and threw ours away.

As kids we did. Now I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole! I do believe they "allow" unholy "things" in.:scared1:

Both!

We were playing with the ouija board one time and we were on my best friend's floor when a mouse ran out from the corner and across the floor behind us. Never played that thing again. :lmao:

When I was in my mid-20's I did it just to finally prove to myself that nothing would happen. I fully own that my heart was racing and I was honestly scared. As it turns out.... Nothing happened. :rotfl:

I did the light as a feather thing and the bloody Mary thing when I was a kid. Nothing freaky ever happened with those things. I still get freaked out when I look into a mirror at night though. I avoid staring into a mirror at night at all costs. :scared1:

I've played with a ouija board many times when I was a kid. One time we lit candles that were in glass holders. In the middle of us asking a question, the glass candle holder broke in two. That was freaky, but we just looked at it and then continued asking questions. :lmao:

We used to use Scrabble pieces and an empty cup or make our own Ouiji boards. Honestly, I don't think they make any contact with anything except the collective will of the silly girls using them. ;) The only way I'd ever think a planchette was being pushed about by something otherworldly was if it moved without a human finger on it.

To this day I still have never played with a Ouiji board! Those things creep me out! :rotfl: I did play light as a feather, stiff as a board when I was in fifth grade though. It was so creepy! But then we started laughing and dropped the girl, thank goodness we didn't get her up too high yet. :rotfl:

This is crazy but true. I had one of those boards years ago and I went to a very small school. I'll never forget this. I had a male teacher from Louisiana and for months we asked him about things like that. Being from Alabama we were all fascinated by some of the things that they believed in.

We had a day where we brought in things and talked about different them. One was a ouiji board. We also had a three legged table. Anyway I can't remember what all happened with the Ouiji board but it was something freaky and we all put it away. I didn't even take the thing home!

That same day there were several of us putting our fingers on the top of the table. He was saying something and the table began to rock back and fourth and it actually moved across the room. Mind you that our fingers were on top of the table!!:scared1: It freaked us out!!

I loved that teacher, but there is no way he would get away with doing things like that in today's classroom!:rotfl2:

We've never played with them- my mom believes they let demons in, and I believe it as well. Someone on my dorm floor used one last year, and weird things started to happen on our floor. Of course, we didn't know she'd used the board until after weird stuff had started happening.

I have some great memories playing these games with my cousins when we were young. We had great slumber parties! Nothing ever happened but lots of laughs and good times. And here I thought Milton Bradley just brought fun to families.

Played Stiff as a board all the time as a kid...there were times it worked and others that nothing happened...

I did all of the above. Ouija Board - meh. Stiff as a board - worked really well one time. I still wonder how.

Bloody Mary... well, I did see something. Weird, because I was the one that went into the bathroom with all the girls who were scared to go alone and I actually saw something once. Freaked me out, for sure.

Forty years ago while playing with the Ouija board we asked it to name my cousin's future husband and it spelled out a name. She did later run into someone of that name. I only recently admitted I pushed the thingy around.

What, pray tell was the weird stuff that was happening? :confused3
