Lifetime Passes for DVC members

We've been involved with DVC since Feb 1991 and I have never heard of a lifetime pass being offered for DVC members. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that I was ALL OVER DVC during that time period and would think that I would have heard something. HOWEVER, I do remember friends talking about a lifetime pass offered way back when, I think for under $1000. Never heard about this either and we have been going to WDW since the 70's. I agree with Pam, if Disney were to ever offer a DVC lifetime pass you can bet it will be more that $1000. Would be nice though!!

When is the last time you saw Disney discount anything more than 10-15%?? Heck, right now we don't even have the "standard" 10% discount on passes anymore. Any discount in my mind would be welcome. If they want to give us 15% great!!

I would be totally shocked by 25% too, especially when it's nothing on AP's now. I don't understand why they used the 25% figure on some of the surveys. Now anything less than 25% will seem too little. If they end up giving us 15%, people will say it isn't enough, knowing they were considering 25%. If they would have came out with just the 15% figure on the survey and ended up giving a 15% discount, everyone would have thought it was great. Surely they didn't think word of this survey would not get out, they have to know how the DIS Boards operate .

Good point Debbie. I know I for one will be disappointed with less than 25% off PAP/AP. Its just human nature. Tell me your thinking of giving me something for 25% off and then give it to me for 15% off I'd feel cheated. Like I wasn't worth the 25% to you and your were just teasing me.
