Doing dishes this quiet evening, I happened to glance up at my mirrored reflection in the window glass. Now, we all know I've probably seen myself in the bathroom mirror at least 4 times today, but this time, it was different. I came to the sudden realization that I was completely dressed as a "mom"!

Who else has had this happen to them? Be honest! :thumbsup2

Did you think the little ones sleeping upstairs were squatters? ;)

I have. I've also had it where I have walkedby a mirror and I know it should be me but all I see is my mother in the mirror. :scared1:

I'm not a mom, but I've had that "my mother is in the mirror" moment myself. :scared1: Oh, the horror!

I think it happens to all of us at some point. The older I get, the more I look like my mother.

I can positively state that I have never looked in the mirror and seen "a mom" or "my mom." The beard is a dead giveaway.

I have, however, on far too numerous occasions, said something to DD and then thought, oh [expletive], I sound just like my father.

I do daycare, so by the end of the day, I look like I have been in a food fight! Sorta on topic here. My daughter who was very sick as a child and took prednizone for a couple of years was looking for some pictures to show a co-worker who's daughter is now on prednizone. Her 3 year old daughter was sitting with her going through the pictures and said "that's me, that's me!" It was my daughter. We kept telling my daughter that her daughter was a spiten image of her, but she did not believe us until she was looking at pictures.

Oh, my gosh...I have!!! It was especially noticeable when I was between the ages of 30 and 40. Then when I became an empty nester, I started trying to be a little more 'fashionable'. That didn't last too many years! lol

Sometimes.... YES! :rotfl:

My moment had me becoming my grandmother as well. The sweater set I had on definitely aged me about 10 years. I truly saw what I will look like at age 55-60!:3dglasses

Heh, so she admits that she had on a tacky Christmas sweater. ;)

Sweater in Cali? My DW gave birth to our third child a month ago. Besides the normal Xmas gifts, I wanted to get her a couple outfits that made her feel good about herself . So, yes, maybe the outfits are a few years younger than what she would normally wear...but I still want her to know that I think of her as a sexy hottie.

Meanwhile, I still have an unworn tight black leather motorcycle jacket that I have never fit into hanging in the closet. That's my little black dress. Some day....:rolleyes1
