Thanks for joining in! I've been following your operation bday surprise PTR. Loved the cake in your last post.

I haven't been updating this PTR much in the last few weeks because I have been really busy with classes and wedding and moving but I have all kinds of stuff to share when I get the time. We've changed our ADRs around and got some cool Disney pins for our upcoming trip.

In the meantime here's a picture that I took on our last trip. Gotta love pre-park ADRs! Main st was EMPTY!

I am so glad I was able to catch up on your PTR.

First of all, your engagement story is lovely. What a wonderful opportunity to be able to unexpectedly stay longer and propose at WDW. :goodvibes

Your wedding plans sound fabulous. I love the colors and the inspirational photos. The favors are, cookie/cake, and especially the music selection are great. I hope you post pictures of the event!

Lastly, your photos are fantastic. Especially the pic on Main Street.

I know it's kind of cheesy, but I found a thread on the DIS, and we have Disney date night when we go through withdrawals. It's actually a family fun night thread, but they have some fun ideas for all ages.

I love the disney date night idea! Anything to help with the withdrawal haha!

Soundtrack: Summer Vacation I've changed my ringtone to this song to celebrate the next 104 days.

So it's official I'm on summer vacation. I wrote my final exam this morning and have been celebrating ever since. Actually I've been packing since I'll be moving back to my hometown for the next year. I'm in medical school and just finished the classroom portion of my training. For the next two years I'll be doing internships all around the province and the country. I've got my car filled to the brim but I think that I will need to come back for the rest later next week.

so plans for the summer:
* Get everything set up at our new apartment (third time moving in with my fiancé) :dance3:
* Get married :bride::bride:
* Go to the beach :beach:
* Try to get a road trip done :drive:
* Go camping :flower3:
* Finally update this PTR :cheer2:
* Find some good books to read (any recommendations?)
* Go to Disney World pixiedust:

I'm a bit sad about leaving my home for the past two years. It's been a great place with a lot of nature parks for picture taking.

Thanks for reading!

Soundtrack: Main Street USA or the shopping district

I was inspired by this Post to look into what kind of home and kitchen stuff we wanted to buy when we where in Disney in August. I would love to be able to buy merchandise online but shipping to Canada is ridiculous. Because of this, we need to get everything we want while we are in the parks.

So here goes: Our Disney shopping list

1. Mickey Kitchen Towels

2. Mickey Spoon holder

3. Mickey Hand Oven Mitt

4. Mickey Kitchen Utensils

5. Coffee Scoop (probably won't need this now that we have a Keurig coffee maker)

6. Measuring Cups

What is on your WDW Shopping list?

I love your shopping list!

We decided to just do a tour as our souvenir this trip, and I really intended to stick to that. Then I saw those throw pillows you posted. They would be perfect on my bed!

Congrats on finishing your final exam!!! :cheer2: It must feel so good to have all the classroom stuff done, and now you know all you've got left is the hands-on stuff that you've been waiting for (I'm guessing).

It sounds like you're in for a busy summer...busy but awesome! :cool1: I hope the move goes well! :goodvibes Also, those were awesome pictures! :thumbsup2

Also, that shopping list looks awesome! We would like to do our kitchen in Disney stuff, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen for a little while. Maybe we can start collecting when we go in the fall...:scratchin

The only things I want to get are one (or maybe 2) each of the Small World Jr Vinylmations and the Snow White Jr Vinylmations. I like the Jr ones because I think they're the perfect size. You can clip them to a bag and go, or use them as a keychain. As much as I think some of the larger ones are kind of neat, I also think they're really impractical and have no space for them. I just hope they still have them when we go...I was thinking of ordering them online, but where the things themselves "only" cost a total of $19, with shipping it would cost me like $43 total :scared: :scared1:

Other than that though, I don't have anything on a shopping list yet. Maybe another poncho if the one I have now wears out before we go.

Love the shopping list! My kitchen is red, black and white so I have a ton of Mickey themed things! I would like to get the Mickey hand oven mitts and a few more utensils (I only have a couple now).

What tour will you be doing?
and yes, those pillows caught my eyes as soon as I saw them!

Feels great to be done sitting in a classroom all day. I've been doing that for too long now. The move is going well so far. I'm waiting for Thursday to go back and get the last of my stuff. Shipping in the Disney Store is awfuly expensive. I wish the store in Halifax hadn't closed.

I have the Mickey hand oven mitt! It's AWESOME.
Great list

It looks great in picture. Good to know it's awesome too! :)

We have nothing Mickey themed yet so I can't wait to go in August. We have an open concept apartment with different base colors in the kitchen, dining and living area but we are hoping to use red as an accent color to tie everything together. Lucky for me, Mickey stuff has red in it :).

Thanks everyone for reading :) I love hearing from you guys!!

I mean, I'll be honest. It's not the best potholder as far as maneuverability goes. But it does it's job and it's a freaking Mickey hand so who really cares? Just be careful about sticking the ends of it in the food you're taking out of the oven....:rotfl:

But I do love it. I wish I have got two instead of one. Maybe I'll have to buy another and wear it backwards!

Haha, I'll be careful then. It's weird that they don't make the pair. You'd think they'd be sold with a right and left hand.

Excellent summer list, I need to start one. I want to buy oven mitts. Next week my mom and I are going to the US for scrapbooking and a little shopping. We plan to hit up a disney store so I think i'll pick up a few things there, to avoid taking up room in the suitcase coming back in july.
Congrats on the exam and being done. An amazing feeling!
