Hello!

I haven't posted any pre-trip plans because this past week my wife decided :rolleyes1 to have surgery for endometriosis. We were visiting family in Ohio, when she could barely stand up straight. After a tour of the local hospitals and urgent care, a trip to the Obgyn solved the issue and now we are recuperating for the 20+ hour trip back home to Cape Coral, FL, trying to beat my sister to our home before she arrives on Friday, and repacking for our Monday trip to WDW! :)

A little background - There will be 3 adults (myself, wife, and my sister) and our 2 kids (8 yr boy and 10 yr old girl). Myself, sister, and son are all first time visitors. We are sort of celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary as well (June 26th). We're all excited - the kids are getting nervous because we were to be back home last weekend and to them its more like :scared1: "Are we still going to Disney???"

Since most of us are first timers, we are going with a very laid back (especially now with the wife who needs to take the walking slower) and go with the flow. We've had "advice" from friends and family who've gone before. While its helpful, there's only so much one can do to prepare for the onslaught of fun and happiness.

We are staying in Port Orleans Riverside and have the dining plan set up. We don't have advance reservations, and probably won't do any of the major eateries this time around.

Can't wait for July 11th!! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

OH WOW hope your wife is doing better, sounds like it should be an interesting time....can't wait to hear all about it :)

Hope your wife is doing better.

Me and my 2 sisters went during Spring break, and we barely had any ADR's. I think Disney is doing a better job with keeping a few time slots open. We got into every resturant we wanted to eat at. You probably won't get into the California Grill at The Contemporary-but I'm convinced no one gets in their any how without a secret password or something. I never see any openings.

Walk over to The French Quarter for the beigets and they also have a pizza window and their pizza is pretty good.

Thanks!! She's doing pretty well - conflicting advice from 3 different doctors: 2 say "you'll ride a wheelchair and nothing else" and 1 says "do what you want - just don't over do it."

We'll also put Disney's other accommodations to the test, as the wife has Celiac Disease.

It doesn't really feel like there's only 2 days left until we leave. Life is normal around the house - ie the kids are NOT jumping wildly around the house any less or more than normal. :rotfl:

I do get the butterflies when I think about the trip.... :rolleyes1
