LIfe like Ape head Toy

I was in Bj's on Sat and they had this life like ape head toy. It had controls and it was supposed to make life like ape sounds .The cost was 119.00!! I kept thinking what the heck can anyone do with this for a prolonged period of time? What kid would want such a stupid thing and what parent would buy it. I was waiting in line and saw this older gentleman (read grandfather) purchasing it. It kind of cracked me up but still the question is what the heck would anyone want one of these things for?????

There was one at my BJ's as well. I was at the Service Desk, getting a new card, and the entire time I was there, this chimp was just going off. Everytime he'd make a new noise the poor Service Desk lady would just cringe. I asked her about it, and she said the dept manager had switched it on at 8am, and it had not stopped since.

I found it a little disturbing to look at.....

I'm guessing to scare kids on Halloween. My uncle loved nothing more than to scare trick or treaters. When I was little I refused to go Trick or Treating there. My mom would beg me and I refused to go, no way, no how. He had 4 boys and they would set up a coffin and their house was horribly scary! They would hide in garbage cans and jump off the roof of the house to scare kids.

Yep I'm betting somewhere some poor children will be scared to death by a giant ape running towards them!

WEll we have a governor's election coming in the next couple of weeks I think I will get one to scare off the republicans and democrats who always like to bug the independent on the street. Then again those of you who live in Mass might see the striking resemblence to Mayor Menino!

A few weeks ago we got a KB Toy catalog in the mail. That stupid ape head was in there. My boys (age 16 and 12) thought it was hysterical. It showed like 3 different faces.

I couldn't imagine who would like to receive that as a gift. I mean, at least the singing fish sang a couple of different songs, except maybe the ape figure could maybe scare the crap out of someone.
