Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

I've been hearing about this Zumba. Sounds interesting.

Ooooooo - a t-shirt! Cool. Now I'm going to be thinking about what I should bring to wear during the race! I have so much planning to do and so much to learn.

Zumba is a blast! And a very good workout too :thumbsup2

EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I did not know that.

of course his face is oddly mobile...and immobile...all at the same time...and very shiny.

hmmn.

I think he's really a Cylon.

I am not 100% sure, but his forehead just looks.....ODD.

Hi Cynthia. I have jumped on board after finding your PTR..... after reading Winkers PTR..... after reading Jordan's PTR...... As explained to Jordan, it is like the Twilight Series....Once I get reading I can't put it down. Although I did put that down to go on the DisBoards. Dont think I will finish those books until after I come home from Disney. This is waaaaayyyyy better. The only reason I began reading them is my daughter made a bet with me to see who could finish first. In order to keep her reading them, I agreed. I guess she will win:thumbsup2

Anywhoooo......:rolleyes1 I once again have set aside all house cleaning and errand running to sit here and read. My husband will be home soon after working in 10 degree weather so I really need to get something done. I"m starting to feel guilty.:sad2: I will not be able to "pick up" on your PTR where I left off until tonight. The problem is I am at the point where you are going to the Yacht Club but I see a Disneyland Adventure Ticker. I can not wait all day to see what happened. I MUST jump to the end of the story!!!! Do you recall at what page this took place so I can catch up. You will be doing my family and I a great service so I can start doing some needed things around here. Once I catch up, I will be able to relax and go back to continue reading. You are a great writer and I am enjoying this immensely!

Maybe he is really Dorian Grey?

:rotfl2:

Of course you are!

And I want to know about your fight with Zazzle.

Jeff made a very valid point yesterday, that the shoes I wore to our wedding would probably be fabulous with the dress. I was having fun looking!

Ugh the Zazzle thing is a long story but they janked some things that they said were trademark/copy right infringements and I say are not. I did do my homework first! I can see their caution on one of them and it's fine really, I only made it so I could order them for the boys but on the other one they have no standing and it annoys me as people were buying them.

It will be interesting to see if the earnings really post or not next month but the goodnews is they did print my order before janking and it appears all the ones that people did buy to date are ok.

Hi Kelly and :welcome:

You can see the table of contents on these pages

Fall

Winter

I believe that the DCA announcement is in update #33 on the fall table of contents :goodvibes

BRRR 10 degrees! What book are you on right now in Twilight? With a 13 year old in the house I've read them all too.

Which may explain why I and 10 other mom's all went to see New Moon together, WITHOUT the girls, at an adult only theater (they serve food and drinks lol). Of course some of those mom's do not have girls so then again...

maybe not.

The books are fun.

:welcome: again!

Thanks Cynthia! I'll answer quick.....my husband is on his way home and boy do I need to make it look like i have been busy all morning!!!:laundy:

We are at the Villas for 2 nights and then the treehouses for 3 nights because grandma and grandpa and joining us. :grouphug:

Twilight....only on 2nd book (saying that for fear of using incorrect name). I lost interest when Edward left (TEAM JACOB). I slowly started getting back into though....until now!!!

On another note: My daughter (apple not far from the tree) has begun doing our itinerary. She absolutely LOVES your binder pages. How did you do them? She is trying on her own....but not much success and VERY difficult.

Gotta go....time is running out.....will post again later. She will keep checking the DIS incase you answer. Thanks!:worship:

Oh I'm so jealous! I want to stay at the treehouses but that will have to be another trip. The 2nd book is by far the worst very slow going at first....and annoying, I wanted to shake Bella, 3rd the best.

Thanks on the binder pages. They are actually done in Adobe Illustrator which is a professional design program so...she will not be able to do things on that level. However I have created a template in PowerPoint and would be happy to email it to her, it gives you the backgrounds, a few layouts, and you can add text boxes etc. Not quite the same, you'll get white borders on the edges but I think Sandy thought it worked ok (Sandy maybe you can weigh in?).

Or she can download the images from my shutterfly site, just click on the DISign link in my siggie and try to put them in whatever she's trying to use to create them on her own. Feel free to have her PM me with any questions1
:)

:cool1::banana: Yipppeee Cynthia! I'm so excited for you!!!

Your so talented, I think you'll be a huge success! Didn't I ask you after you designed the beautiful paper for your sister if you had ever thought about selling your stuff?!

I don't think it's a mid-life crisis. I think it's a brillant idea! What better way to earn an income, and imho I think you could do pretty good, stay home and not have to worry about all the additional stuff like after school care, summer child care etc?

Good luck!!!

Yes yes you did :)

At that point I had thought of selling other stuff but not necessarily digital scrapbook paper and it has taken me a few months to figure out what I'd want to sell, in what formats and what might make it unique and marketable. I have a long ways to go though but you definitely contributed to pointing me in the right direction, along with a few others!

Oh my goodness summer and break care is a financial killer! If I can just avoid dealing with that again...it would be a huge blessing. Summers in particular were always incredibly stressful, it was like planning a trip itinerary but 3 months worth. The logistics were a nightmare and that's being kind.

Hi Christine! It has been a while since we have talked and I have been away from the Dis for periods of time. I recently saw that you had started a PTR and I have been trying to work my way through it during this last week (thank you for the links!).

I wanted to wait to comment until I got caught up, but I just read the update about your FIL scan that showed that the mass was gone and it brought me to tears. We have a young family member that is dealing with a very serious illness and we are praying for a miracle, and your post just gave me hope. Thank you so much for sharing your life with all of us!

Once last comment, my husband coaches volleyball (both high school and club) so I know what you mean when you talk about the commitments of schedules & tournaments. I have fallen in love with this sport as well, and I hope that Kendall is enjoying herself.

Ok, back to reading. Just wanted you to know that I was here!

You've got ME wanting to stay in the Treehouses too!! :wizard:

I did like the Powerpoint you sent - one page I wasnt able to "edit"(It was the first page - you have added the "edit" to change title, no problem, that worked, but on 2 of the items it wouldnt let me click to edit text - the other pages did - so I went on to work on them!) on the mac - and I had a time constraint - then when I sent it to dh to print (our printer went down :sad2:) he forgot.... so I had way too many challenges to do it justice -

but I have it stored to try for our next trip! :thumbsup2

Hi Alison! I am behind on your TR, I read the last update (but missed a couple I think, darn holidays!) but I don't think I actually posted! Your Dylan is just the cutest thing ever.

It is a miracle, what my FIL has been through and we just seem to be surrounded by miracles lately. Hope is so very important, as is faith. Your young family member will be in our prayers.

That's so funny, I was trying to remember who was the volleyball person and couldn't! It seems to be a little bit less intense than soccer so far but we will see. The juggling is ridiculous though and I just worry she is spread too thin which really isn't good for anyone. That said if it ends up that she loves VB more, I'm all for it. Jeff and I both feel she just doesn't have the passion for soccer you need to take it further at the level she is at. Skill only takes you so far, you need to play from the heart and it's just not consistently there. Of course the hormones and distractions of being 13 only take you so far. So we will see.

I LOVE the game. I enjoy soccer but LOVE VB. And I would have killed to have her serve at that age.

:welcome: very happy to have you here!

I wondered how that would translate into Keynote, and for that matter from 07 to 03 but it sounds like it worked overall....bummer you didn't end up using it. But you finished the race and that's all that really matters!

Congratulations on your new venture! Sounds like you have a great idea for your business. :thumbsup2

Okay, I've been catching up a little at a time. Christine!!! I'm so excited for you!:cool1: I wouldn't call if a mid-life crisis, although I think it's at mid-life that we start to say, "is that all there is?" Things that were once so important take a back seat to what's really important in our lives.

I started working for myself 6 years ago, and left my job 2 1/2 year ago. We have had some lean times because I spent more time caring for our grandchildren than working for a couple of years, but what a blessing to be able to choose and to have that precious time with them! :cloud9:

I wish you all the best, and I want to congratulate you! You have the courage and the drive, and I know you will be a success!!!
