Lie about childs age has anyone done this?

Adult tickets are ages 10 and up. Age 3-9 is so much cheaper if you have a 10 year old how bad is it to say they are 9?
I don't think my conscience could handel it but I am on a budget???

Truthfully, I am always 100% honest about my kids ages.

Trust me, I know the added expense is a lot. Our son turned 10 right before out last trip.

But, I would never feel comfortable being dishonest about something like that.

Also...I don't know about your child but, if one of my kids ever found out I was not telling the truth they would speak right up!

why lie...sea worlds website has a "be a kid again" deal....EVERYONE pays the kid price for a 1 day pass (7days advance)

besides....its better to be honest & sset a good example for your kids...we all have times where money is tight

on our first visit in 06 my DD had just turned 10 in the April. i bought adult tickets , why make yourself out a liar for a few $. As was said buy the kid again tickets, or a Funcard pay for 1 day and come back as often as you like until 31/08.
What if one of the CMs asked your Child their age,which apparently has happened, have you told them they must lie and say they are 9.
Go with a clear conscience and pay the extra few $.

I bought my tickets. All Adult tickets. There's no way I could have told my 10year old to lie if asked about her age.

I was thinking about doing it for Dining with Shamu which is $40.00 for a 10 year old child....10!!!!! Ages 3-9 is $20.00....That is a SIGNIFIGANT increase.....Don't feel bad bscs....I was thinkin' about doin' it too....When I reserve and pay he'll be nine, does that count...I mean seriously, how would they know...You don't bring B. Certificates or anything to it....

When you make ressies, they ask your child's age and you tell them the TRUTH and say 9. That's not a lie unless they ask you what the child's age at the time of travel is.

Last year we bought season passes to Dollywood, a theme park. The age where you start paying for kids is 5. They told me when I bought the tickets, you go by the childs age at the time of purchase. I said they are about to turn 5, they said it didn't matter, if you buy the tickets when they are 4 they are considered 4 for the whole year.

Also, when booking at Disney in the past for a birthday at CM, I was told that when you buy your tickets you buy for the age, if they turn say 10 in the middle, you don't have to go out and buy all adult tix all of a sudden. They are considered 9 for that trip.

Just something you might want to check into if you don't feel comfortable buying the tickets now and saying he is 9, even though he is.​
