license plate frames?

Has anyone seen any at the parks? I can't find ANY online. Thanks.

They definitely do at the World of Disney store in DTD!! I've gotten three from there over the past few years and they've held up pretty well on my car (with the exception of one). They usually only seem to have a few at a time, but at least there's some variety for you They're on the end farther from DL and DCA in the main middle walkway opposite of the stuffed animals and the same side as the kitchenware. That might not make sense, but that's where they've always been for me

I've also seen some at World of Disney in DTD! They are right across the area where they keep the mouse ears

As listed above, World of Disney is your best bet. As an alternative, I specifically remember buying two from the store in ToonTown. I don't remember the name of the store, but it was back by Roger Rabit, I think.

They have some in the gift shop at the GCH, too. I mean to buy one every time I go but still haven't done it. I think they're $20, silver, say Disneyland on them and have a castle, if I remember correctly.

I have the metal one with the castle and the word "Disneyland" on it, it was about $20. Bought it in May at the World of Disney store in DTD. They also had some plastic ones for about $9 that had various characters on it.

My daughter is a new driver and this was at the top of her list to buy at DL. We looked all over and she had a hard time finding much of a selection. We found a few at World of Disney but nothing she was excited about. We finally found the one she liked the best - the silver metal one with the castle and the word Disneyland - at the "kiosk" near the entrance. When you are entering the park it is to the far left right next to the gate. They had 3 choices I think.

Yeah the store on the left before the tunnel entrance always has them right on the little wall hub. Always lol. They never leave that same spot. The issue with the license plate frames is that they're made for California plates so some states when you put them on they cover your tags (Oregons get covered) so I had to modify my tags and place them in a different place. Also the metal plate frames the castle is kind of tall for most cars and will not fit on the back only the front. I learned that the hard way after buying two of them and could only use one Even two cars later, still haven't found a car where I can use them on the back.

Wow, yes, I remember that now too - the metal plate didn't fit on the back of my car. Didn't cover my tags though.

I had the same trouble with the silver castle frame. It does not fit on either of our cars because the castle sticks up to high. Kind of crazy they make it do that because most cars don't have the room. Now I have to take with me when I buy a car to make sure I get one that it will fit on. My dad offered to drill new plate holes in the car so I could lower the plate and make it fit, but I think my boys will getting that car soon so I may as well wait.

Thanks for this info. I'm from CA so that's not an issue for me, but the castle one, that I was planning to buy, won't fit on my car either.

The Emporium on Main street usually has them too. That is where I have always gotten mine. I have had various ones on my cars for years and I was SO bummed when I bought a new car a few months back and forgot to get my plate holder off. I traded in my old car and it was at night and I ended up leaving a few things like all my spare change, an extra pair of sunglasses and who knows what else lol. But the frame is what I miss the most.

The cool part is though that I have an antennae again so I can have an antennae ball!! I really missed that!

I'm here at DL right now. I am dissappointed in what they are currently offering in the way of plate frames. The castle (that only fits in the front of cars) the NBC metal and the plastic 2011 are all there are. All three are at the Emporium and WoD. I bought some awesome ones in July and was hoping to get another set or two, but right now they don't have any that thrilled me. They do however have some really cute new antenna toppers for Xmas.

You can get some older frames on eBay. I got some cool ones with the shag characters all over them

That's a bummer to hear. I didn't like the 2011 ones when I was there in June. I sure hope they have something better when we go in Dec!! They used to have lots of different ones. Strange that that is all they have. I had the 55th anniversary one on my car that was red with the characters and I liked the blue one from year of a millions dreams but mine peeled apart. I would order one online if they HAD any.
