A friend found lice 2 Wednesdays ago in her daughter's hair. Very mild case maybe just starting (had lice in October and was a nightmare lot of bugs and eggs) Hasn't found a bug in over a week. Found 1 egg last night no bugs.
I am supposed to babysit for her tomorrow, do you think it is safe for my kids?
Thanks for any input!

I feel for your friend. Anyway, to answer your question I was told that once you have done an initial treatment you are o.k. to return to school and be around others. Some schools have a nit free policy though. Just make sure the child was treated for the lice. Another piece of advice is that I would not be using any brushes, putting on any hats, laying on any pillows that sort of thing as a sheer precaution. My girlfriend and her kids came over to help me with the situation and her kids were not affected at all but I had already treated mine once. She also used T-Gel dandruff shampoo on her kids for a few days as a deterent just for precaution. Apparently the lice do not like the smell of the neutrogena shampoo (t-gel). Good luck to all of you!!
