Library on Board?

I'm someone who will read at least three books on a seven day cruise. Does the Magic have a library where you can borriw books? We're trying to save room in our luggage for more shoes, and this seems like a way to save room (for more shoes ).

That have a small room on Deck 2 that a few books but I would not call it a ship's library by any means!! They also have a few board games.

It looks like some people may leave their books there after they have read them...there really were only a few.

When we sailed 3 weeks ago, I saw a man throwing out his books in the trash when he was done...I saw him throw away 2 books!!! I was shocked!!

Is there a gift shop onboard that sells books? I'm not fussy; I'll read anything. But I have to read something, and we are really short of room in our luggage..

Let me guess, it's all about the shoes.

Yes, they do have a library. It's on the honor system. They also sell paperbacks/magazines in the gift shop, but I don't recall seeing shoes for sale if that's any consolation.

Great. I'll either borrow a book if I can, our buy something mindless in the gift shop.

Yeah, that shoes thread backfired on me. I forwarded the photo of the teenagers' room to DW. It showed about 25 pairs of shoes lined up. I thought she'd get a laugh, and see how ridiculous it was. Instead, she took it to be a blessing to bring more shoes!

Don't worry, I'm not mad at you.

It's just funny how different our reactions were. I looked at it and thought "wow, that's nuts!" DW looked at it and said something like "look at all the cute flip flops! I can't wait!"

A lot of comedians base their whole routines on that sort of thing, don't they?
