Liberty Tree VS. Chef Mickeys

We liked CM, and are trying LTT this fall.

CMs was a bit chaotic, but we were mostly there for the food, so we concentrated on that. ;)
Our server was not the greatest, mainly on the issue of drink refills.

Character interaction was awesome, and it was our son's b-day, and the characters really made a big deal over him. Goofy did come around to the table at that point, but that, and which characters are available at ANY character meal, are always subject to change. :wizard:

I'm glad to see so many people love LTT! We haven't been there yet, but will be trying it on our next trip.

We did have a BLAST at CM! It was my DS's 2nd birthday and it was a lot of fun with lots of character interaction and great service. DH loved the shrimp and the kids loved the swinging napkins.

I think you cannot go wrong with either. Foodwise, its hard to say, we all have different tastes, opinions and experiences. I have never had a bad meal at either (have eaten at both over five times) and really enjoy them both very much for food and character interraction. I do like the fact that LTT is in the park and that you can just sit once you get to your table and not worry about missing a character when you get food. I love to time that one with Spectro so that I can walk out, get a spot there in Liberty Square and watch the parade and digest! But then for my family its not really a trip to WDW without a trip to Chef Mickey's! Which is why we generally do both of these.

And while I don't rate LTT as a gourmet experience I do have to say, I want to know what brand of TV dinners some of the naysayers are buying! Because the ones I buy don't taste nearly that yummy!

Oh and don't let the stouffers name on the sign worry you, the food is made fresh, although the stuffing does taste a bit like Stovetop (fine by me). Can you imagine how many pans of frozen mac and cheese they would have to warm up if they really served the frozen kind? It might well be the same recipe/formula Stoffers uses, but its made there.

We tried bot on our trip last year, and we will only be returning to LTT. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the character interaction was the best of the three character meals we went to (LTT, CM, and Crystal Palace) The colonial costumes are just too cute!

At Chef Mickey's, I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything looked good, but tasted mediocre at best. The adorable desert that is chocolate mousse that looks like mickey was really gross, and rubbery. Our server was also TERRIBLE we waited a very long time for drinks, and had to ask several times for refils, which were finally brought when we were ready to leave, and wanted the check. We will not go back there.

I too agree with Sunny04. All 4 of use went to LTT in 2004 and loved it so much that DH and I have ADRs there in September (anniversary trip with no kids :cool1: ) We loved the food and the character interaction was great. We got some really great pics and the kids got autographs. DS was disappointed that Mickey Mouse wasn't there, however, Minnie was and she told DS that Mickey always came by to see her on his way home. She took his autograph book and returned a few minutes later with Mickey's autograph. DS was ecstatic! Yet another reason why we won't vacation any where but Disney, the customer service is awesome!

LTT, definitely. The food is fantastic and the character interaction is the best we've ever experienced at Disney - and we've been there 3 times and each time was wonderful. Goofy is there and he'll come by your table several times - as do Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Another thing I love about LTT is that the characters act really silly. They always seem to be goofing around and having fun, and that makes it more fun for the kids too.

We went to CM once, for dinner. Aside from the desserts, none of us found a single thing to eat and the character interaction wasn't too great. We've considered going back to try breakfast instead, but there are just so many other great restaurants at Disney that we haven't bothered.

I've never done CM's for dinner but I have done breakfast there. I've done LTT twice for dinner. As far as food goes...My vote is for CM's. LTT is good for it's location, ambiance and characters.....but NOT food. But, if you like Stouffers, you'll love LTT. They do have a great salad.

LT! It's such a nice friendly place and i'm sure they would love it! I'm going there for my Xmas dinner when In go! lol
