Does anyone have an opinion on Goofy's character dinner at the Liberty Tree tavern? This would really help me plan our next trip (10/20/05)
Thanks!

Get a PS. LTT is a popular restaurant.
It's good, home style, comfort food. You will leave full. The character interaction is good.
LTT is not a favorite restaurant. But esp for MK it is a good sit down meal.

We love this place. Its consistantly the best characture interaction in all of WDW.

I'll be going to dinner here in about 5 weeks. I'll be sure to post a review for you when I get back!

I went two years ago on our last trip. I thought it was good. The character interaction is great - we saw most characters twice. They were nice. I thought the service was very good and waitstaff were friendly. I thought the food was good - mashed potatoes, ham, turkey and vegetables. I probably won't do it again unless the kids ask because we don't usually have dinner in MK.

It's good to do once, IMHO.

When we were there last January, the characters were Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Meeko. We really liked the food, especially the strawberry salad dressing. Yumm!!

I will be going to LTT in about 8 days.......very excited.......I will let you know how the food is and if it is worth the $23.

I do not have a PS, will I be able to make one that morning when I get to the park?

didn't think to get reservations this year when we went so we did a walk in there. we were VERY happy with our character and food experience. the chef came out 3 times during our meal to tell us what DS could and could not eat and offer substitutes for him (he has a lot of severe food allergies). the characters all came to our table several times and interacted with ds as well.

How long did it take you to get seated? Would it be worth the time to make a PS or should I be ok just walking up when I am ready to eat?

I have done it both ways. One time we made the PS in advance, and another time we simply went to the restaurant in the morning the day of. I guess it really depends on when you're going. It only takes us about 5-10 minutes to get seated, but then again, it's only me and my boyfriend, no kids. I would make PS just to be sure.

The past few years it has been Minnie, Pluto, Meeko, and Perla, and the other female mouse from Cinderella (I can't remember her name). I've never seen Goofy there. I would check Birnbaum's Guide or ask when you call just to be sure.

We had dinner there last December before the MVMCP and it was wonderful. The characters were Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

This is one of our favorites for dinner. The menu really has that homemade feel to it. Even the kids love it.

We just got back from Disney!! We had 5 character meals and I must say this was the worst one!! First they sat us at a table for 4 instead of 5...After a few minutes, the brought us a chair, and my poor DD kept getting bumped into, because her chair was in the middle of the walkway. Our server was never around. We were sat and no one came to our table for a few minutes, then this person said, be there in a few. We felt very rushed and almost to the point of being rude. I like the mac and cheese, thought the Turkey was way too dry. My DW loved the Apple dessert!!! But overall, we did it, thought others were much better so we won't be back!! Atleast it seems were in the minorty...since everyone else had a great time.....

Do they serve cranberry sauce to go with the turkey? It was 21-month-old DS's favorite part of our Christmas dinner!

When we there in August 2003, I don't think there was cranberry sauce.

I am Leaving Mardi Gras day, February 8th and we plan on going to MK on Thursday. A freind of mine's sister is marching in the parade on Thursday. I have heard that this is not a crowded time, but most of the resorts are booked up because they have a cheerleading convention at the same time. Most of NO, LA will be there as well.

I was just going to walk up that morning and make a reservation because I don't know how many of our party is going to want to pay the $23 for dinner. we are a bunch of "poor college students". Has anyone gone at this time that would know if I would be ok if I just went the morning of to make a reservation?

We were there on 1/24/05. We love the food but were not as happy as we have been in the past. We were there for 4 pm and had horrible service too. We waited very long between courses, for drink refills and our waitress didn't ask if we wanted coffee. My DH did but since the waitress took so long with eveything else he opted not to even bother to say anything when she brought the check.
The characters seemed rushed even though the restaurant was not full.
We would try it again since it was our waitress than the place.

We ate there before MNSSHP, and the food was really good. Characters were good too, they all came by twice, but Goofy wasn't there, it was Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Meeko.
