Hi there! I've never posted before, but I'm fortunate enough to be going to Disney World in mid-June for a wedding. Since I graduated from college (it's been a long road), my dad decided to turn it into a joint celebration. We're celebrating the fact that I graduated. Then we're celebrating for the wedding, which is at the end of our trip.

Anyway, I've been going crazy trying to find the best places to eat on Disney property. I've lost 57 pounds since the end of May 2013. I actually gave up sugar, beef, and potatoes, so I've been trying to 'celebrate' having them back in Disney before I give up sugar and potatoes again. (One of those things I just can't keep myself out of, so it's easier to deny the self instead of binge-eating.)

One of the places that popped up on my radar was the Liberty Tree Tavern. The dinner sounded fantastic with all of that available protein. But the Gooey Toffee Cake thing sounded like something I wanted to stuff into my face. Unfortunately, I can't get a confirmation as to if that's available at dinner or not. And if it's not, I think I'd rather try to get an ADR for somewhere else.

I was hoping you guys would be able to help! Thank you for your time!!!

I would try to get a reservation at one of the resorts on the monorail. The monorail goes from Magic Kingdom and loops around to 3 resorts the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. Well if you can get Ohana at the Polynesian resort that is one of the best but you have to make reservations as soon as possible because they go quick. There is also restaurants at the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary. If you dont want to leave Magic Kingdom the Crystal Palace there was good but they have characters ( Winnie the Pooh and his gang lol ) dont know if that matters or not. But it has a buffet.

I actually have a reservation at Ohana, the Yachtsman, Tusker House, Sci-Fi, and then Boma and The Wave for breakfast buffets. I'd heard good things about LTT, but if the cake isn't there… I'll probably find somewhere else to go. We're renting a car, and we have park hopper passes, so location isn't an issue.

I'm 25 and my dad is 50, so eating with characters isn't as important as good food is. But thank you for the recommendation for the Crystal Palace.

Congratulations on your college graduation - and on losing 57 pounds!!!

From what I understand that dessert is only offered at lunch time. Seems like there are many people who not only enjoy, but actually prefer their lunch meal over their dinner! I too want to try this dessert... So much so that I made an ADR for our family to eat lunch there in June! You can check out their menu on allears.net. Hope that helps!

That actually helps a lot. I was planning on doing Be Our Guest, but I could probably convince my dad to do both.

Thank you guys for the update on whether it was served with dinner or not. I will be canceling that ADR. Thanks again!

The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is only available at lunch at LTT. At lunch there is an entree called "the Pilgrim's Feast" which is similar to the family style Thanksgiving dinner. Our favorites on the lunch menu are the Colony Salad and the Pot Roast along with the previously mentioned Toffee Cake dessert.
