We have never been, but are considering it for next June.
Would you do lunch or supper? Is the character dining only supper?
Is the turkey good?
We have a 5 night cruise and then 4 nights at WDW, thinking all the gourmet foods we'll be eating, would like to throw in something a little more homestyle. Liberty Tree and 50's prime time cafe seemed like the best options. Have been to the 50's cafe before...so thinking of doing something different.

LOL! LTT was the first Disney restaurant I took DH too all those years ago. He still happily complains about it! The food is Stouffer's - the stuff you get in the freezer section of the grocery store. If you like that, you'll like the LTT. I think it's comfort food, but DH disagrees! :lmao: Either way, enjoy your trip!!

Our whole family loves LTT. It is not frozen food or anything it is all made fresh and it's very good. The turkey "Pilgrims Feast" is a favorite along with the Pot Roast. Fresh baked rolls are very good. My girls have a gluten allergy and the chef is so good, he makes them fresh Gluten Free rolls and gluten free gravy plus excellent gluten free desserts. They are 18 & 17 and it's their favorite. We actually crave LTT when we are back at home! Never done the dinner tho, only lunch. Try it, you'll love it!:goodvibes

We will be at WDW next week, and we will be eating there for our first day there and our last day there!

There shouldn't be any character dining there in June, according to all current reports.

My family did LTT twice and loved it! It used to be a character meal, but since it's not anymore, we do other meals so it's been a few years for us. Still, I'd love to go back!

so no real carved turkey and stuffing? bummer !!:sad2:

Hi
We ate there on Oct 26th and my DD had the turkey. She said it was fresh and delicious. Also, I think there was stuffing with it. It came with mashed potatoes and string beans. I had the Colony salad and it was really good. This is the first time we've eaten there. We had the Ooey Gooey Dessert and it was delicious. I would definitely go back.

We also did LTT twice last year--both times for dinner--and while the food was good, the characters made the meal for us. I agree with PP who said it was comfort food.
While it is true there is no more character dining at LTT I believe they will be bringing it back temporarily while CP is undergoing a reno. Can't remember the date though sorry.

The dates are January 3 - February 14. Between those dates only, Liberty Tree will serve all three meals family style, and all will be character meals. Lunch and dinner will be the same menu (same as the current dinner) - there will be no a la carte lunch during this period.

Characters are supposed to be Minnie, Goofy, and Chip & Dale.

We enjoy LTT for either lunch or dinner, but with lunch you have a menu and options, though many of them are sandwiches - either way we haven't had anything bad and both love the lunch desserts especially; DW loves the berry shortcake and I love the triple chocolate brownie sundae. Much better than our experience at the Plaza.

We LOVE LTT, it's wouldn't be vacation for us if we didn't go at least once.

We have found that our large family prefers lunch. Dinner is fine, but we like the opportunity to order what we like. I would recommend the pot roast or pilgrim's feast. Both are very good. The entree salad is also good.

No characters anymore, but it does make for a less chaotic meal.

The waiting area is small (like many WDW restaurants). They give you a buzzer so we just sit on a bench outside and people watch. The service has always been excellent. Ask for a basket of rolls and honey butter. Yummy!

I've eaten there for both meals and would definitely pick lunch!!! Dinner was good but the lunch menu was great!!:thumbsup2

We had a very poor experience the one time we went for lunch. The meal took forever and the food was just ok.

We have been 3 times for dinner and have always enjoyed it. No, it isn't gourmet food, but it is good. I do miss the character interaction...

We have never dined here because I dont like the dinner menu and we rarely do a TS for lunch but I do have a lunch planned there for our departure afternoon later this month.

We ate dinner there on 10-25. We had salad, turkey, ham and beef. Mashed potatoes, green beans and mac & cheese. The bread was really good. We did not have dessert it was our dd's birthday I had ordered a cake. We all 13 of us agreed it was good comfort food.

We even got picked to open dinner service. My dd rang the freedom bell and we all yelled this hear yee hear yee thing it was cute.

We ate their twice!

Once for lunch and it was very good

Once for dinner and we really liked it.

I couldn't fit it in the plan for our June Trip.

But plan to for the next trip some how

Had lunch twice last week. Both the Turkey and Pot Roast were yummy. Don't forget dessert. The fruit crisp and apple tart were both out of this world delicious.

We were there in August for a birthday lunch and had a great time. We had been there before, but it had been a while between visits. They have some great entrees (I had a salad with apples, walnuts and grilled chicken that was quite good) and sandwiches. Service is excellent. It is a cute place with lots of Colonial atmosphere....wood plank floors, hurricane lamps, etc.

We have eaten there every year since 1996 and have never had a bad meal - have had both lunch & dinner. We have reservations there twice this trip (lunch & dinner) and am so looking forward to the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake and the turkey dinner. Yum!! :)

This is my favorite resturant at MK. We always eat there for dinner. They serve a "family style" dinner starting with tossed salad with strawberry vinegarette dressing, fresh baked rolls with honey butter (regular butter available upon request), turkey, marinated flank steak, pork chops, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans (too much garlic for my liking) mac&cheese, and for dessert they have an apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. The drinks are also included in the price. It is a one-time price for all you can eat.
