We just make a ADR for the Liberty Tree Tavern, and they told us that it is no longer a Character Dinner anymore :sad2:. we always liked the Colional outfits on the Characters?????

The characters were discontinued as of January 5, 2009.

I still like this restaurant though, we had the best waiter ever this past March and my dh loved the pot roast!

Pot Roast!!! Yum!!! :cloud9:

I am so looking forward to ordering the pot roast again! My DD is 10 and she is SO EXCITED to be a Disney Adult this year on free dining. And the number one reason for that is her own pot roast!! :thumbsup2

Yeah no characters anymore but the dinner food is awesome! Cannot get enough of the Rasberry vinagrette on their salad. I have noticed it is easier to get ADRs now that the characters are not there...... Had no problem getting ADRs last two times.

I was very disappointed to see that it's not a character meal anymore. That was our very first character meal at Disney, so it has special memories.

I was even more disappointed that it looks like they kept the prices the same - I think it costs too much for just the food they serve there and no characters. :sad2:

It was good here we were very suprised. I would go back even though there is no characters here.

I totally agree. This is why we won't return until the charectors do or the price comes down. Food is great but its kinda of a principle thing. I dont care to pay premuim price for good food and charectors but if you take away the 'entertainment' portion of my meal the price should reflect that.

I know how sad you must be that the characters went away but the food yummy but hopefully the characters come back soon :tink::mickeyjumpopcorn:::wizard:

My family and I are heading down Nov. 24 - Dec. 1 and this was our choice for Thanksgiving Day...do you think (or have any info) that the characters will make an appearance for that day???

TIA

correct me if im wrong, but is this where the meal is if youre doing the keys to the kingdom tour? i just signed up for this tour and was curious? thanks!

Post roast is only a lunch time off the menu. They don't serve it at dinner time. And it is the best meal in all of WDW.

I was actually wondering the exact same thing. We are doing Keys to the Kingdom and have ressies for LTT as well. Don't want to repeat.:thumbsup2

I've never been but would have considered booking dinner if they still had the characters. It would've been nice getting pictures with them all dressed up in their costumes.

Ya know what, Hallowishes? I think I found our answer. On Allears.net's reviews of the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, everyone says they went to Columbia Harbour House. Whew! Don't have to change my ressies (again).:rotfl2:

We did Keys to the Kingdom last November. Unless they changed it, we were given lunch at a "counter restaurant," though we placed orders earlier in the day and it was at a table, right across from the Haunted Mansion.

Dont pass on the dinner, the food is really good and it has a really good old fashion family feel to the resturant. I would still book.

This is correct, I did the KttK tour in 2007 and we had lunch at Columbia Harbor House (which by the way is the best counter service in MK, IMHO)

Anybody know about their lunch? We have lunch ADRs....the menu looked good for lunch. any thoughts?
