How long does it take to eat at LTT?

I made a reservation for MNSSHP but the earliest I could get is 6:00. I really want to enjoy all the festivities and I am wondering if I should cancel this & plan on a big lunch before getting to the park at 4:00 and a lighter dinner time snack at a CS restaurant instead.....

If I arrive at LTT at 5:30 would I get out by 7pm? Do they seat you as tables empty or is it done by seating times? Thanks!

I think it takes between one hour and an hour and 15 minutes.

The only thing that is an unknown variable is when the characters will come to your table.

But for the most part at most character meals (all you can eat/pre-plated) you can be done in about an hour.

I would definitely arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you are at least seated on time.

I enjoy eating a sit down meal before the party just not too late. Many prefer having CS meal, not me.

We have a res. at 6:50 on our MNSSHP night, I figured it'd give us a chance to sit and eat while the people who aren't staying are leaving. Does that make sense?
Then we can get out at 8ish, and find a good place to watch the parade. (or just go on some rides, and catch the later parade.) Several CM's that I've spoken with say that you can "rush" through your meal, if you tell your server you want to "eat quick" so to speak, they'll get you in/out... but you do have a chance of missing the characters.

I am worried about this too. I really want to eat here one last time, with the characters, but could only get a 7:25 time I keep trying to call and change it, with no luck.
I am editing this to add a dumb question......
Does anyone know if they characters at LTT only wear the costumes on the nights of MNSSHP??????? Thanks.

Showing up at 6:30 instead of 6:55 is going to make a huge difference! You should be seated in about 10 minutes. We ate there Dec/07, party of 4, and it took us about an hour. This will be perfect timing for MNSSHP. Plus, regular guests will still be leaving the park right up to the last minute!!!

did LTT right before MNSSHP last year... let me relate my experience. We already knew that the food would be stoffers frozen diner fare at a highly inflated price, we already knew the characters would come by quickly in costume, what we did not know was that we'd have to wait 45 min. past out ADR to be seated, and the waiter would be S-L-O-W... what we figured would be a quick diner with pics of the characters in costume, turned into two hours of hellish slow service. Let the buyer beware, but Crystal Palace is a much better choice.

Went to LTT last week before the Halloween party and LOVED it!

This was our first time at LTT, so glad I didn't listen to all of the negative reviews.

The characters were some of the best, stopping by our table several times even after the pictures and autographs were taken. Our waiter was great and the food was very good and filling.

Our reservation was for 5:30, I checked in at 5:00 and was seated right away.

What I noticed on this trip is that every place I checked into between 4:45 and 5:00 I was seated right away, no matter when my ressies were. In fact, we walked up (party of 4) to Coral Reef, no ressies (I called all day and they said they were completely booked) at 5:00 and were seated immediately. By the time we were done about 6:30, there was a massive wait in the lobby and outside.

So if you're worried about time, swing by LTT around 4:45 or 5:00 and they may be able to seat you then.

We ate here back in Aug we were a party of 4. I would say we were in an out with in an hour. We had 5:55 ress. It a good resturant

We like LTT and think the food is good, stick to your bones sort of stuff. Nothing fancy, but filling. I also think the meal is quick and would not take any longer than an hour from the time you are seated. My only worry for you is that we always seem to have a wait when we get there for our ADR. I don't recall what our last wait was, but I remember it being significant. I would get there early and hope for the best.

i have an adr for 9/30/08 at 4:10 for a party of 3. its a party night. we have decided not to go if you would like it -- not sure what night you are going.

Are the characters in Colonial costumes or some kind of Halloween costume?

If anyone has an ADR they don't want for 10/29, I would love it!

They are still in their colonial outfits but for MNSSHP they also wear eye masks or a festive apron.

We went to LTT last Fri at 4:10p before MNSSHP. Personally, I wish we had just done cs. The kids were too excited about being in their costumes to want to sit still, I ate too much and felt very bloated walking through the park as it was very hot and humid--hey, nobody to blame but myself... and the whole week, we had a big problem settling the bills, it took FOREVER every place we went even w/the dining plan. It should have been especially easy at LTT because there really isn't anything extra to settle except the tip. Our server was great, the characters were cute, but I wouldn't do it that way again. Honestly, I lost track of time, I don't recall what time we were seated and what time we left.
We really enjoyed the party.
